    • Faulty Inner Tube

      Owei (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
Purchased 3 of these tubes to go with my RANDONNEUR ROAD BIKE TYRE - 700X28 without reading the product reviews. After fixing, I made a short trip less than a mile, on returning the front tube popped. Tried inflating it but wouldn't retain air so I replaced the tube, few minutes later it popped again right at home, without anyone on the bike. Highly disappointed with purchase.
      2 punctures within 45 minutes.
      Response of the brand
      Dear Sir,
I'm sorry to read that you encountered a puncture so soon.  Going by what you have said,  it sounds as if there may be an object stuck in your tyre causing the inner tube to deflate. It my be worth checking to make sure that the tyre hasn't pinched the innertube. The most common cause of punctures is rarely a faulty innertube.
One innertube popping is bad luck, but having two go so soon would suggest that other factors rather than a faulty innertube is at play.

    • Disappointed with defects

I bought 3 in order to have a spare as well. I have had 2 punctures on front and back wheels at the same spot near the valve. On reflating the tubes to find the leak I notice that they are all mis-shapen and don't inflate evenly on each side of the valve so looks like it rubs on the tyre wall at this bulge. Next day, a brand new(1st ride!) tube blew out at the valve within one mile of riding and I couldn't pump it up at all to get back home. I ride with Schwalbe Marathon plus tyres so after checking the inside of the tyres for possible thorns/nails (none found) I know it is the tubes at fault. Maybe just a bad batch but looking at some of the other comments it seems it has happened to them as well. I'll be returning them as I have no confidence I can finish my commute on time. Shame as I like the value and bought a lot of decathlon cycling products.
Failed to stay inflated despite being new
      Response of the brand

Thank you for the review of this product. To have all 3 have a similar problem, this does sound like a problem with this batch of products. As you have said you are more than welcome to return the products for a full refund or exchange. I will make the product manager aware of this issue.

Bought 2 of these both popped on first inflation
      popped on first inflation
      Response of the brand
      Dear Sir,
Sorry to read that both innertubes popped. Tell me, did they both pop on the same wheel or was it both front and rear? Did they both pop in the same place? Up to which PSI did you inflate the tyres?
Having one innertube pop is one thing but for both to go in succession is extremely rare.
I will forward your experience on to the product manager in the meantime please don't hesitate to return them to us for an exchange or refund. It wouldn't be a problem.
