    • Great mudflap, lousy fitting

      Ronnie (United Kingdom)

I've had 2 of these now and the flap part is great but the part that locks round your stem eventually starts to pop open and the mudflap pops off!
      good mudcatcher
      clasp is poor
    • Looks nice but the clip is flawed

      Jay (United Kingdom)
Used for More than 2 years
I bought this mudguard last year based on its smart but simple design and the fact that it blocks a lot, it not all, of what one's rear wheel throws up. Unfortunately the clip developed a fault within the first week of purchase where it just wouldn't clip in. The staff at the Surrey Quays branch were very helpful and I ended up with a replacement which worked fine on my MTB until recently where it fell off and was lost on trail somewhere in Epping Forest last week. The clip on design, though simple to use, appears to be weak, and perhaps flawed? I bought mine for my mountain bike and it worked fine on my commutes to work, that is until I decided to go off-road.

If you've got a road, hybrid or mountain bike and have fairly smooth rides then this mudguard shouldn't have a problem - unless you hit a pothole or a speedbump. Anything off-road or bumpy then I'd suggest saving your money and looking at an alternative. It's a real shame as it looks great but the clip just isn't strong enough.
      Response of the brand
      Hi Jay,

Thank you for taking your time to review the Polisport mudguard. I'm sorry to hear about the problems you have faced with this mudguard, the clamp has been the cause of issue with a few customers from my experience. I made the product manager aware of this issue either on this month.

    • Very bad design for mountain biking

      James (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
This lasted about fifteen minuites on a mountain bike trail before the clip mechanism unlocked and it fell off the bike completely. I thought this might be a one off so re-attached it and carried on. The next trail the mudguard stayed attached but after a few bumps the mechanism that allows you to lower or raise the angle of the guard proved to be not sturdy enough and the guard collapsed and sat ontop of my tyre for the remainder of the trail. After fixing the guard again I went to ride another trail. Almost after the first bump the guard colloapsed onto the wheen then fell of the bike completely. I didn' even stop to pick it up.
Will maybe be ok for road biking
      Not fit for purpose

      Dear sir,
I think that your comments are very fair and are echoed by a few other customers as well. I am in a meeting with the buyer today at b'Twin and I will raise this issue with him.
