    • Not a bad bicycle for short hops around town

      Vancheeswar (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Good decent bicycle - value for money - I use it on an average of 4-5 miles a day - dropping the kids at school - going to the gym and running errands.
good decent gearing, light for all the accessories
    • Great Bike

I've had this bike for over a month now. Done over 100km with no problems. The lights are not that bright and go out as soon as i stop. I bought a set of lights and use the ones on the bike as a second set, more lights the better. I don't regret buying it.
Great bike for commuting and leasuire
    • Not worth the hassle

The structure of the bike is fine, but considering some parts needed to be adjusted and fixed onto the bike. There is a generic guide but it didn't say how to attach those parts. I'm not sure if I need to do something to get the gears working, or if they're broken...

Plus the front light is snapped off. The light works, but the plastic section it is attached too is broken, presumably during delivery.
      Alright price
Broken parts, little instruction, too much hassle
      Response of the brand
      Dear Sir,
We have this video guide to help you set up your bike:

Solid well built bike. Good gear ratios, breaks and hub dynamo powered lights are excellent. Very thorough pre collection set-up.
Great quality & comfort for 20 mile circuit
    • Quite disappointed

      Chis (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I bought this bike from the Surrey Quays store around 6 weeks ago, but only ridden it a handful of time (less than 50 miles in total) due to being fairly let down by the bike.
The gears (despite being Shimano) constanty slip and jump, even afer the initial set up by the Decathlon staff. The chain feels like it's constantly rubbing, resulting in a never ending grinding noise.
I bought this on the advice of the decathlon staff for commuting (around 5 miles each way) but I've given up as it's too noisy and feels increddibly slow and cumbersome. I feel like B'Twin and Shimano could have done better.
If you want a bike for very short commutes (around 1-2miles) then it might be a good choice, as the kit the bike comes with make it (on paper) a good commuting bike, as it has a good pannier rack, a handy light system, very comfy seat, bell and mudguards (although the mudgaurds tend to bounce around a lot and hit the wheels whilst in motion.
On reflection, I would have probably prefered the B'twin 500 road bike or flat bar bike.
      Nice ride over bumpy surfaces.
      Slipping gears, cumbersome bike
