    Product feature
    1. Frame
Special B'TWIN steel frame: lowered in the middle to make it easy to get on and off. Children won't get stuck on their bike when playing.
    2. Position
B'TWIN handlebar and grips. Comfortable foam saddle. the riding position has been designed specifically for children and the grips are sized for small hands. Plus, it is height adjustable, so it grows with the child.
    3. Drive train
Freewheel: safer as children do not need to pedal, even going downhill.
    4. Wheels / tyres
Tyres with an inner tube (inflated) and knobbles. Real tyres to help get around obstacles (kerbs, etc.), and for better grip on normal terrain (paths, grass, etc.).
    5. Brakes
B'TWIN STOP EASY brakes. Rear hub brake and front cantilever brake. The brake levers are designed to suit children's small hands and require 30% less braking effort than traditional levers. We have chosen to use a rear hub brake for its effective and progressive braking. This type of brake requires less maintenance. On the front there are cantilever brakes, which are efficient but not too strong (limits the risk of the wheel blocking and the rider falling head-first over the handlebars).
    6. Chainguard
Full B'TWIN chain guard with patterns inlaid into the plastic. We created this chain guard to fully cover the mechanical drive train parts (crank, chain, freewheel, etc.) in order to reduce the risk of pinching (of small fingers) or catching (of laces), and to keep clothes clean.
    7. Accessories / equipment
Front and rear mudguards, doll seat at the rear, finger-safe bike stand, front and rear battery-powered lights, bell. The mudguard protects children from tyre spray. A set of B'TWIN 16" stabilisers and the B'TWIN push bar (sold separately) can be mounted in just a few seconds (tool-free), helping your child gradually learn to ride on 2 wheels.

    • Great value bike

Used for More than 1 year
Used almost daily for the last 20+ months. has done some good long cycles. Still in good shape. Nice paint job and loved by the rider. Brakes worked well, but add a bit of friction to the free wheel. I counldn't quick fine tune the brake to get rid of it. Brakes worked well though.
Handlebars tarnished after a year or so, but is was out in the rain at times.

All told a good experience for the rider.
loved by rider, good solid bike. good brakes.
Placement of lights? Friction on freewheel.

Bought for 4th birthday. Well put together and solid feeling. Daughter can operate brakes easily. A bit on the heavy side but geared nicely so she can get it going easily and not too fast. Lights are a nice inclusion. They're not powerful enough to count as 'proper' lights, but good for encouraging good safety practices.

One thing to watch for: in store, they had 5 of this model and half had been assembled with the front/back brake levers swapped round so you might want to double check or correct them.

I bought this for my 5 year old as a surprise, so I was slightly concerned that it may be too big for her. However it fits perfectly and she absolutely loves it, especially with the extras we added such as the basket etc.
The brakes are great for her small hands and are a massive improvement on her previous bike, the only odd thing is that the rear brake is a drum brake and this can add friction to the bike when being pedaled freely.
      Great Brakes for small hands
      Strange rear drum brake

      Response of the brand
Without knowing your daughter's exact height, it's hard to tell but generally speaking for a 3 year old we would suggest a 14" model:
When on the junior bike category page, you can select a filter on the top of the page relating to the child's height:
It is also possible to fit stabilisers to the 16" models.  We have ones specifically designed for these bikes:
