    • Very impressed

Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Bought this as an impulse buy 4 weeks ago, initially thought I wouldn't use it but over time its brilliant for doing jobs such as replacing disk pads, indexing gears and replacing cables. One of those items I didn't need but would find it hard to go without one now.

Brilliant value, it can make unnerving creaking noises every now and then when you are screwing bolts tight. Occasionally if I don't have the bike in the correct position it will begin to topple over, in order to resolve this I simply put a crate of beer, water or anything else heavy I can find to keep it firm to the ground.

If in doubt buy it, you might not find much use initially but over time you will do.
Fairly sturdy, good support, easy to use
      can creak under stress

    • Broke within seconds

I bought this, my Son assembled it pretty easily however it broke almost instantly. Joining pipe of the top arm to the vertical is plastic and can;t take any weight from a normal mtb.!
Don't buy this one, spend a wee bit more and get one that works.
      Easy to assemble
      Very poor quality
      Response of the brand
      Hi Jeremy,

Sorry to hear that your workstand broke almost straight away when being used. I know that some stores use this stand to diagnose bikes when the normal workstand is in use and the bike can't be removed, the stand has always has stood up to the job.

This makes me think that there may have been an issue with your workstand as it should be able to hold 20kg without any issues.

Please return yours to your local store for a refund or exchange.

For the money you cannot better this stand, Its robust well made and unless you were into commercially working on bikes you might wont something with more bells & whistles like integrated tool tray etc etc. but for the home owner this is the business it allows you to service the bike at a comfortable height ...no more kneeling down and adjusting gears while trying to hold the bike up etc
      great for working on bikes
maybe could do with magnetic tool tray

Used for More than 2 years
Had this bike stand for over 2 years now, bought because of the low price and its folding capability when not in use. The construction is good but a few design faults let it down. First it is easily knocked over diagonally when the bike is being worked on. The second is if you are holding the bike by its seat post then the bike tends to slip round in its arm, I overcame this by a bit of wet and dry sandpaper inserted underneath. I wish I could upload some pictures for you all to show how I solved these problems but can.t see a place to do that. Overall for the money and my modifications good product.
      Low price and folds away
Can topple over if not careful
