    Product feature
    1. Product video guide:
Watch the video with all the practical features and adjustments of the OZEAN 900 sailing jacket.
    2. Waterproofing:
Novadry's exclusive Beaufort 3L component is guaranteed to keep you dry even in the most extreme conditions. In the rain simulator, the jacket stayed for 24 hours under the equivalent of a 450 L/hr/sqm storm without the tiniest drop getting through the product. The component's waterproofing is guaranteed to over 28,000 mm of water pressure. All seams are fully taped.
    3. Hood:
The high-visibility hood is adjustable 3 ways: visor height, field of vision, and head size. The semi-rigid visor is equipped with a flexible shape memory edging.
    4. Insulation:
The neoprene waistband is stretchable and can be adjusted using two large rip-tab fasteners. This creates a perfect connection with the longjohns.
    5. Protects documents and multimedia accessories:
The "kangaroo" front pocket also has a pouch which is fully watertight to protect any non-waterproof belongings from getting wet.
    6. Storage:
The centre pocket with silicone zip contains two storm drawstrings, one of which secures a fully watertight 130 x 200 mm pocket. This pocket contains two small compartments for storing accessories (shackle spanner, knife, etc.) and keeping them from jostling around.
    7. Hand-warmer pocket:
The large, hand-warmer kangaroo pocket is lined with 300 g fleece and includes a large ring connected to a strap that can be positioned on the outside so as to clip your kill cord snap hook or your gloves for easy drying.
    8. End seals:
The inside of the collar and wrists feature adjustable synthetic rubber cuffs with rip-tab strips for a long-lasting, effective seal.
    9. Collar:
Intuitive double collar adjustment using exclusive rip-tabs combined with an elasticated insert for greater comfort.
    10. What is a waterproofing test or "shower test"?
Approved test where the garment is placed under a shower simulating different weather conditions. All of our products are certified 100% waterproof, having been tested for 4+ hours in rain of 100 L/hr/sqm to 450 L/hr/sqm, depending on the product use. To put this into perspective, the highest recorded rain fall was in the USA in 1942, when 174 L/hr/sqm fell over 4.5 hours (NOAA). The average rainfall in Paris is 2 L/hr/sqm (www.Paris.fr)
    11. What is a waterproof and breathable HYDROPHILIC membrane?
The membrane works in stages to wick away perspiration. Firstly, the fabric absorbs water vapour until it is saturated. Then, due to the difference in pressure between inside and outside the jacket, the fabric disperses the water vapour outwards. The main advantage of the hydrophilic membrane is that it does not contain pores; consequently, there is no need to constantly rinse the fabric to wash off any salt water crystals. Breathability therefore remains constant over time.
    12. Score to compare the environmental impact of products
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over its entire life cycle and with different indicators. An overall score (ABCDE) is attributed to help you easily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type with one another (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon chose to apply this voluntary environmental labelling scheme. For more information, visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

    3. Storage advice
Store in a dry place, but do not leave NOVADRY® garments on a heat source such as a radiator, as this may damage the breathable membrane or coating.
    4. Cleaning advice
Machine wash your Ozean 900 waterproof sailing jacket at 30°C. Turn inside-out and fasten rip-tabs. Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. Line dry if possible. Occasional tumble drying on low for a short period of time will improve the water repellen
    5. Product catchline
This breathable waterproof jersey is perfect for all of your more "athletic" sailing trips. A neoprene waistband, storm collar and cuffs act as seals, keeping out water.
    6. Lab tested
Novadry recreates storm conditions in its rain simulator. In these conditions, after a 24 hour period under torrential rain (450 L/hr/sqm), our waterproof and breathable jacket still kept its user fully dry.

    • Excellent smock

      Christien (United Kingdom)
Used for More than 2 years
I was looking for a smock like this for a while and I've had one now for a couple of years. I use it for sailing and skiing and it is excellent for both. The cuffs and waste synch down to keep water or snow out and the gusseted neck is great. My one complaint is that the hooked half of the neck gusset has abraded the inside of the fabric. Since it is rarely used except in the worst weather a section of velcro loop material to mask it fixed that problem. The front pocket with various elasticated hooks and inner pockets is very handy as are the hand warmers. The hood is very good too and fully adjustabble. All round this represents just about the best value for money in terms of serious foul weather gear. I have the matching salopettes and they are also great for skiing. All round good value.
      Great protection from the elements
      Delicate lining
    • An excellent smock.

      Christien (United Kingdom)
Used for More than 1 year
The traditional smock design is perfect for sailing. There is no big zip in this smock to fail at the front. It's lightweight, there's a nice big central front pocket for stowing things, an excellent hood and a very nicely thought out cuff and collar design. All in all this is the best sailing top I've had. The only disadvantage is that it has to go on over your head (obviously) but this is really quite minor. Overall a really great product.
      Great design.
Obviously has to go on over your head.
