    Product feature
    1. Inflating power of down/feather filling
For this down jacket filled 85/15, the inflating power is above or equal to 660 CUIN. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. Down with higher fill power takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
    2. The advantages of duck down and feather filling*
The durable and inflating properties of the down give this jacket 3 qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra-light weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This allows you to lighten the load in your backpack - Ultra compactable * Our feathers come from Chinese ducks reared for their meat; we remove their feathers after slaughter. We hold the death certificates for these ducks
    3. Care advice for a down jacket with down and feather filling
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow our advice by clicking on the link below: How to wash and dry your down jacket
    4. In the event of rain
The material of this down jacket is water repellent. It allows drops of water to slide off the fabric which delays penetration of water into the jacket while you get out of the rain. But the down jacket is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the down jacket in the event of prolonged exposure to rain.
    5. A socre for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated across its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE score is attributed to help you more readily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information. For more information visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

    • Poor fit

      Gary (United Kingdom)

I bought this product as I wanted a cheap and packable down jacket. However, I was disappointed with the fit and construction of the jacket. The sleeves are very baggy. Most disappointing was the zip. You can actually see from the photo that is bulges out in the middle. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe it was just the photo. Sadly not. Also disappointed by the fact I was only refunded the initial delivery cost and not the return delivery cost. Therefore I have effectively paid money for nothing. I think Decathlon should consider refunding the return delivery fee also, especially as the reason for return was the poor quality product.

      Response of the brand

Thanks for your review on the Quechua down jacket. I apologise for the inconvenience caused by the fit of the product, I shall feed your comments back to the product manager.
Regarding the refund of the return postage, unfortunately it's something we do not offer at the time. Should you be based near one of our store, you can return it free to any of those. I shall also pass you comments on to the logistics and supply teams for future consideration.

      Thanks for getting touch.

It's all it was promised to be. The down filling makes it ultra light while ensuring it remains very warm. Its also easy to pack and carry around - it rolls up into a slim sausage. Zippers are great quality too. Wish they had more colour choices.
lightweight, very warm, easy to roll and carry
      colour choice nonexistent

very fast & easy to use...
frankly, even my daughter & wife hv used the same, so it's actually an unisex utility... barring the styling part, if not bothered about...
      light weight & comfort
      not being water resistant...

Ordered a Size L, but these come up very close fitting, so am exchanging for XL. Luckily Decathlon are always willing to help and action a no hassle and no drama exchange policy. In my experience Decathlon have never declined any fair exchange. The Quechua Forclaz 300 down jacket is a quality bit of Ultralight kit. Superb for those end of day cold evening moments when setting up camp after a day bimbling around Brecon. Personally, I like it.
      Ultralightweight, quality made, warm, comfortable
come up a bit on the small side, but not a problem
