    • Good stand

      Ewan (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The stand is fairly sturdy and is easy enough to assemble. It holds the bike by the front forks or rear dropouts to allow you to work on either end. It seems pretty light and being able to rotate the bike is a bonus when it comes to cleaning. recommended.
Lightweight, compact storage, easy to assmble

I only bought because was reduced in sale. I wouldn't pay £99.
      It's quite lightweight.
I wanted a 360 spin stand, but unfortunately i knew it meant removing front wheel. When you have wide tyres on a road bike , i have to deflate tyre just to get it past the brake blocks before removal. That's the drawback.
I also had problems fitting the plastic plugs on the axles mounted on the stand. The front one was flush and no problems. The one for rear axle seem not to fit very well at all.
Price. I wanted a stand to spin .Keeps cables free
Couldn't fit the plastic ends in the skewer
    • Another pair of hands!

Having moved house I needed a workstand to replace the "bike hanging from the rafters" system that I used for many years. I looked at many different products like this and read reviews. All had pros and cons. One said the centre lock wouldn't hold the bike in the chosen position - it kept slipping into a nose up or nose down stance. I didn't want that (when I decided on the "Spider" and set it up for the first time this review was at the back of my mind. However, getting the centre of gravity close to the centre lock ensured that I didn't have to overtighten the lock, as this other review had said you needed to do, and the bike was held in perfect position. Think that the reviewer on this other site must have been a "non mechanically minded" person, to put it mildly. Bit of an "oily rag rather than the engineer!). I also watched YouTube videos showing Pro mechanics using this workstand but it was always the previous model. One did show it being used, this was a more recent video. This made me think the stand was at least "ok". Finally it was the price at Decathlon that swung my decision, and I am glad it did. It arrived promptly and went together easily. A little thought is needed with the instructions concerning what parts to use in relation to hubs to be placed in the stand. Again, a little mechanical thought sorted that out. In use the stand is first class. It holds the bike securely whilst you carry out work and cleans up easily after a messy wash session. Storing is easy as it can stand, closed up, in a corner. Suddenly working on your bike becomes a pleasure and no longer something you put off. YOU SHOULD BUY ONE OF THESE, THEY ARE GREAT!!!!
Effectively like another pair of hands!
None really! Maybe some plastics could be metal?
    • Worth every penny!!!

Purchased this stand after lots of pondering over the seat clamp style or fork style. After using it, I don't know that took me so long to purchase one! It's a fantastic piece of kit, cleaning and maintenance on the bike is now a doddle and hassle free. Everything on the bike is so accessible, 360 degrees working space whether you're working on the front end or back end of the bike. Beforehand, cleaning and maintenance was a chore, not anymore. It also comes with a very usually tool tray and also a range of fittings and fixtures. It is the best £100 I have spent for maintaining and cleaning the bike. Recommend it to many of he cycling lads.
Solid, easy to assemble, easy to use.
