Knowing nothing about skateboarding before I bought this for my 8 year old (soon to be 9) Star Wars mad son. I had not expect him to be quite so keen to learn and half suspect that after a few tries he would decide it wasn't worth the bother and forget about it for a few months. Instead he has been watching YouTube video's and practicing the basic moves.

My son is on the taller side for his age however he is not particularly heavy. The board is fine for initially getting used to standing on a rolling platform and moves relatively slowly so it isn't scary. There isn't much tilt so it is hard to turn. If my son was a bit heavier this may not be a problem. I will see how he progresses but I will either change the trucks, wheels and bearings or buy him a complete new board.
      Seems to sturdy
      Very slow, and heavy
