    • Perfection in a 3 season boot

      23/10/2016
      Steve (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I bought these boots to upgrade from Asolo Flames for scrambling routes. I used these straight from the box last week on a 7 day trip to Glencoe, the Mamores and Ben Nevis.

The boots were comfortable, stable, lightweight, sure-footed on wet rock, steep grass, peat bog and everything else I threw at them.

I went up the Ben via the Ledge route; was very confident on the Carn More Dearg arete; loved having them on as I went across the Aonach Eagach and found they were just as good over mixed ground on less demanding routes on the Mamores.

I can't fault the boots in any way. I recognise boots are a bit like bike saddles, i.e. very personal, and what works for one person doesn't for another; that's why I've never got on with my Scarpa Mantas. But these are super boots.

At this price (I bought the red ones), it's a no-brainer if you want scramble-ready boots.
      Light; stable; handle most terrains
Nothing to report after 6 full mountain days
