    Product feature
    1. GPS Smartwatch for an active lifestyle.
      - Pairs with your smartphone to gently vibrate and display alerts for incoming calls, texts, emails and calendar items plus notifications from social media and other mobile apps. - Customize with free watch face designs, widgets and apps from our Connect IQ™ store.
    2. Built-in Sports Apps
Vívoactive features built-in sports apps that track your stats — even when away from your phone. Simply tap to choose among GPS-enabled running, golfing and cycling apps plus swimming and activity tracking.
    3. Hit the Ground Running
The running app uses GPS to capture essential running data such as distance and pace. A built-in accelerometer and wrist-based speed and cadence trackers eliminate the need for a separate foot pod when running on an indoor track or treadmill and also when GPS is unavailable. You can set up vibration alerts for heart rate, pace and run/walk intervals.
    4. Get In Gear
The GPS-enabled cycling app measures time, distance, speed and calories. Compatible with sensors such as speed, cadence and heart rate monitors to measure your progress on training rides as well as daily commutes.
    5. Tee Off
Pair with your smartphone to download course maps from our golf course database. More than 38,000 courses worldwide are waiting for you. The golfing app keeps maps updated and tallies hole number and par. GPS measures layup and dogleg distances, as well as distances to the front, middle and back of the green, to improve usability over the entire hole.
    6. Dive In
Auto Length accelerometer-based technology automatically gauges total and interval distance; laps; calories burned; session average, interval and length pace; and stroke count, including number of strokes per length and interval and session averages. Let the swimming app calculate your efficiency with SWOLF, which adds the time and the number of strokes it takes to swim a pool length.
    7. Step It Up
The activity tracking app tracks your steps to learn your current activity level, then assigns an attainable daily step count goal. As you meet your milestones, the device will adjust your goal for the next day. The red move bar appears on the display after 1 hour of inactivity and builds when you’ve been sitting too long. Just walk for a couple of minutes to reset the move bar. It will also analyse your sleep cycle.
    8. Stay Connected
Vívoactive gently vibrates to alert you to all the same notifications you receive on your smartphone. Receive caller ID and missed call information for incoming calls. Text messages include sender information and message. Email messages come with sender and subject. Vívoactive also displays notifications from Facebook®, Twitter® and other social media platforms, as well as other mobile apps (weather, etc.)
    9. Advanced Smartwatch Features
Vívoactive lets you control the tunes on your smartphone, locate your phone and let your friends and family track your activities in real time with Live Track. You can also remotely control your VIRB® Elite action camera.
    10. Custom Apps and Watch Faces
Personalize vívoactive with free downloads from our Connect IQ store. You can customize your watch face, add data fields and get apps and widgets that provide information at a glance.

    • miss sold not trust garmin/decathlon

      Andy (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Before I bought the vivoactive I asked for advice from both decathlon whom I bought the watch from and Garmin who make it. Both stated that the music controls where a part of the watch and ideal if you want to listen to music whilst running. It was not mentioned that yes there is music controls but they do not work if you use the GPS for running to record you run. Not sure why they feel they can miss sell the product. 2 companies in my eyes that clearly need to learn that customers want to know the truth before we buy an item. Its only came to light after 3 emails which stated that I could update the vivoactive on garmin express that in fact it's not possible to control music plus use gps at same time. Its taken 3 weeks to get the answer which is very frustrating but I wish I was told the truth before I bought the watch as I would have waited and paid extra for the updated forerunner 235 which I have been informed by garmin let's you do both. (But then again do I trust that stateme)
      all apart music controls.
no music controls when GPS is active.

I did some research before purchasing this watch and apart from its inability to record outdoor swimming it seemed to be a very useful and inexpensive device. It has exceeded my expectations and have such I bought one for my Fiance for his birthday who now uses it daily too. I have also just persuaded my sister to buy one. We are mainly road cyclists who have used other GPS Garmin devices before but my Forerunner 305 stopped uploading and I needed a replacement. It's ability to track swimming as well as running and cycling is a real bonus (length counter is pretty accurate but doesn't count "kicking" lengths) . Having had watches that can be long winded and frustrating to upload to Strava this has been a dream as it just syncs automatically. We really enjoy the step challenges too and although its not always possible to move when it tells you to (or you don't fancy moving after a 3 hour ride!) it makes you more aware of your sedentary time and generally being more active throughout the day. There is an indoor running and cycling (which I think turns off the GPS) this would be useful if using a treadmill indoors or if using the turbo trainer in the garage (as we do). Great to get feedback on sleep too (if you choose to wear it 24/7). Battery life is fantastic but my partner did say that his 4.5 hour ride at the weekend used half of the battery life so I suspect that GPS activities use more battery, I suspect 8-9 hours riding may be the maximum you'd get out of it before it needs a re-charge (it charges very quickly!). In all, I think this is a bargain for what it provides and although we're not tech obsessed people who live by the stats of devices, it's a nice way of keeping track of daily activities and we wouldn't be without it now!
good range of activities, lots of useful features
