TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Polycotton care

As part of the tent is cotton, the fabric must be absolutely dry before storing to avoid mildew. It is also important to keep the fabric clean and to deal with stains as quickly as possible. It is advised to wipe away dust with a soft brush.

DO NOT KEEP IN A DAMP LOCATION.

Benefits of Polycotton or Technical Cotton

The Polycotton, also known as Technical Cotton, has the following benefits:

- Better resistance to UV rays,

- Greater breathability that a traditional polyester tent,

- Longer life span,

- A lighter tent than a 100% cotton tent,

- A more pleasant living environment from an acoustics perspective for example.

However you must be careful as Polycotton is a fabric that needs particular attention when drying and cleaning stains.

Sun protection

Our Polycotton technology relies on a fabric with UPF 50+ sun protection.

be careful, as a large amount of UV rays can get in through a simple open door.

Ventilation

Living room:

High living room vents circulate the air and reduce condensation in your tent. The living room has six mosquito nets, two above the front door, two others on the high sides of the living room and two on the lower living room.

Bedroom:

Inside each bedroom are two lower side ventilation hatches.

The bedrooms have mosquito nets on the top section of the doors.

Wind resistant

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity.

Properly pitched, with the guy ropes deployed, this tent remains habitable in wind speed Force 8, measured at 70 km/h.

Waterproof and taped seams

We test our tents to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, equivalent to 200 mm tropical rain per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This tent is fitted with a Polycotton flysheet. It has a 195 g/sqm waterproof groundsheet (groundsheet: 5 000 schmerbers).

Living room poles:

- Aluminium poles at the living room entrance and centre to stiffen the structure.

Tent pegs:

- All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.

- 14 ground pegs are included.

Maintenance advice

Our camping tents have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum durability of your tent, it's important to store it in a dry place when not in use.
