    Product feature
    1. The purpose of a cycling jacket
The third layer is the layer that protects you from the elements, for instance the cold and the wind, while the underneath layers offer warmth and breathability. By wearing a suitable cycling jacket, you will maintain your performance and stay comfortable whatever the weather. This 900 cycling jacket keeps you nice and warm with its integrated, removable neck gaiter. Ventilation openings ensure perspiration escapes.
    2. Warmth
A product's ability to protect from the cold. It depends on the material's thermal resistance and how much air can pass through it. The higher the thermal resistance, the more the product keeps the heat produced by the body while cycling.
    3. Breathability
To determine whether a fabric is breathable, we measure its evaporative resistance (test based on standard ISO 11092). The lower its resistance, the more the fabric will let water vapour produced by the body escape, and therefore the more breathable it is. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric.
    4. Care tips
Machine wash at 30°C. Synthetic programme. Turn the garment inside out. Use minimal laundry detergent. Do not add softener. Line dry in a warm, ventilated area. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Do not bleach. Do not place on a heater to dry.
    5. Product tests
Our team of product designers based at the B'Twin Village in Lille is continuously working to make cycling more comfortable for our users. Our obsession is to create products that meet the specific cycling needs of our users and eliminate hindrances to a good cycling experience. We then test our products in the field, as we are convinced that only by subjecting them to real world conditions, like the ones you experience on your bike, can we continuously improve our products.
    6. A rating to compare products' environmental impact.
A product's environmental impact is calculated for its entire life cycle using various indicators. Products are then given an overall ABCDE rating to help you easily identify the ones with the best environmental performance (lowest impact) by comparing different products of the same type (T-shirts, bottoms, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon voluntarily chooses to display the environmental ratings of its products.

I have no hesitation in recommending this jacket to anyone who is looking a good high quality jacket at a reasonable price. I was looking a jacket which would help me to be seen out on the road and also keep me warm without overheating on training runs during autumn and winter days. I also needed plenty of pockets for carrying the various items required for being out on a bike. This jacket ticks all these boxes. It is not waterproof but will keep you dry during showers. So far it has also washed well.
    • Not that breathable

I found this jacket to keep me warm when it's cold but at a cost of me getting pretty damp on a ride. At least shower proof.

    • Great winter jacket

I've worn this jacket for the last couple of weeks, through a mixture of rainy weather and autumn chill and over rides of various lengths (10-50km). Its great, fits well (I'm 184cm/85Kg and got a large), snug but not tight. It breaths pretty well, and certainly better than a full waterproof, in the rain it stays relatively dry inside. The high-vis is bright and I feel more visible on the road. You could pay nearly double for a similar jacket from a prominent brand and not do any better than this.
