Pitching/striking
Extremely quick pitching/striking. The flysheet and bedroom are pre-assembled. Poles are attached to sleeves in the tent so you can save precious time when pitching. It is also quick to strike.
To get the tent back in its bag, simply attach the poles together in the elastics (once folded), fold up the tent until it's roughly the width of the bag and then tightly roll up the tent and poles.
Waterproofing
Quechua tents must pass a laboratory test (pitched tent under a 200 L/sqm/h shower for 4 hours – equivalent to a tropical shower) as well as field test missions.
40 denier polyester (PE) flysheet with a polyurethane coating (inside) & silicone coating (outside), PE 75D groundsheet.
Seams taped with heat-sealed strips.
Bedroom composed of breathable and water-repellent 40D polyester and a mosquito net to prevent contact with drops of condensation.
Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a rotating platform where we can expose each side of the tent to the wind.
To test its wind resistance, the tent must be properly pitched, taut but not stretched, with all the guy ropes in position around the tent. It should remain habitable at wind speeds of 70km/h, measured near ground level.
Our tents are certified by the independent CSTB laboratory in Nantes.
Ventilation and condensation prevention
Bedroom partly covered with a mosquito net for ventilation and partly covered with a water-repellent fabric to protect against condensation and draughts. Large vent at front of tent and additional vent at feet end.
To reduce condensation inside your tent, it must be properly pitched, with the fabric kept taut without being over-stretched. Air vents and good air flow will help reduce humidity inside your tent.
Eco-designed tent:
Entire tent made of 20% recycled materials, thereby reducing the product's environmental impact.
Flysheet made of 50% recycled materials.
The bedroom is made of a "bulk dyed" component that reduces the amount of water used.
The tent poles are coloured using an innovative anodising process that does not use nitric and phosphoric acids.
Warranty & After-Sales Service
As designers and users who love our field, we care about the durability of our products, which is why all our tents are designed to be repairable.
You will find the spare parts (tent pole repairs, etc.) in the department or at the workshop of your local Decathlon store, on our website or at the following address: http://spi-atelier.decathlon.fr/atelier/produit/1621088
In case of a problem, get your tent examined in your usual store.
Seasons
3-season tent: your tent will protect you from the harsh weather conditions you can encounter in the spring, summer or autumn. It will withstand light snowfall but is not designed to withstand heavy loads that would weigh on the structure.
In case of snow, remember to shake your tent regularly in order to bring down any snow that has accumulated to avoid putting too much weight on the structure of your tent.

TESTS AND WARRANTY
Test product
The waterproof rating of the Forclaz tents is validated by placing a pitched tent under 200 L/sqm/h shower of water (tropical rain) for 4 hours, and checking that no water passes through the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc.
The water column test (= mm Schmerber) measures the waterproof rating of the fabric.
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel, on a rotating table to check all four sides.
We also perform tests on the components (abrasion, tearing, perforation, etc.)
Parts guarantee
2 years.
