Bodyboard is a watersport close to surf but with a smaller and more flexible board. Tom Morey created this sport. He invented the said board, lighter than a surfing board, covered by a rubber layer. This kind of board is usually used lying down. The bodyboarder's equipment is a wetsuit, a board and a pair of short slippers.
Mike Stewart was a multi-titled champion in the 90's.
Guilherme Tamega, born in Copacabana, was titled 6 times bodyboard world champion and 6 times vice-champion.
