NEOPRENE LAYER OF THE BODYBOARDING WETSUIT
Choosing the thickness of the neoprene layer of the wetsuit is an important factor when you are buying your equipment. You have to decide depending on the water temperature in the region you are going to practice.
When in cold water, your wetsuit will become more important for thermal insulation.
If the water temperature goes below 15°C, you will need a wetsuit with 4/3mm and 5/3mm neoprene layer, as in: 4/3mm of neoprene on the torso and the back and 5/3mm on the rest of the body.
If the water temperature is warmer than 15°C, you will need a wetsuit with 3/2mm and 4/3mm neoprene layer, as in: 3/2mm of neoprene on the torso and the back and 4/3mm on the rest of the body.
