Why use dumbbells to train?

With its unique approach to the weight bar, this hex dumbbell creates a beneficial imbalance that promotes muscle development. Ideal for intensifying cross training movements, like push press, front squats and clean and jerk.

Why does the dumbbell have a rubber exterior and hexagon shape?

We took your feedback to heart when giving this dumbbell a 6-side design that prevents it from rolling.



A rubber exterior provides optimal protection against impacts and makes it quieter.



The ergonomic handle has a non-slip zone and curved shape that guarantees an ideal grip.

Do not drop the dumbbell

Use a rubber mat to stay safe when exercising with this hex dumbbell (ref: 8651539). With a mat, you can drop the dumbbell without worrying about your floors.

Storing and maintaining your dumbbell

To protect your floor, we recommend storing your dumbbell inside on a rubber mat (ref: 8651539). This will prevent the dumbbell from causing any damage. You can also store it on a bar and weight rack (ref: 8788246).



Maintain your dumbbell by wiping it with a clean cloth.

Exercises from your Decathlon Coach

Discover a range of exercises you can do with the 12.5 kg dumbbell on Decathlon Coach.

Our coach created a cross-training workout just for you (1/2)

4 to 6 rounds with 1 to 2 minutes of rest after each round.

- Beginner: 20 sec work, 40 sec of rest, then go to the next exercise.

- Intermediate: 30 sec work, 30 sec rest.

- Experienced: 40 sec work, 20 sec rest.



After finishing the first movement, rest then go straight to the second. Then to the third, fourth and so on.

- Dumbbell thrusters

- Press-ups with one arm rows

- Romanian deadlifts

- Box jump burpees

Tips from our coach (2/2)

As you progress over the weeks, increase your work time and decrease your rest time. You can also increase the number of rounds and slowly increase your weight as you get stronger.



More experienced athletes can wear a weighted vest to make the circuit even more difficult.
