Why use a special Tarmak wall mount for your basketball backboard?

When you mount your basketball hoop to the wall, the height cannot be adjusted and the board is flush against the wall.
A wall attachment is great for family fun because you can set up your hoop to suit all player ages and levels.
Certain models also have a spacing system to avoid playing too close to the wall.
The Tarmak B200 Easy, B300 and B700 models are all compatible with the Tarmak wall attachment (8381436) with three playing heights and 50cm of wall spacing.

How do you fix a basketball backboard to the wall?

The hardware required to mount your basketball hoop set will depend on the wall where you plan to hang it. Ask a professional if you're not sure.
If you want your hoop to be at regulation height, the rim should be at 3.05 m.
We also recommend that you never hang from the rim to prevent weakening the mounting system.

What ball should you use?

The ball size depends on the player's age and sex.
Baby basketball: size 1 to 3.
Girls and boys under 10: size 5.
Girls aged 10 and up, women, and boys aged 10 to 12: size 6.
Boys over 12 and men: size 7.

If you want a very durable ball, go for a rubber ball. If you want a ball with a good feel, leather or synthetic are the right materials.

Great mount, seems sturdy, looks good and went together relatively easily - the only thing I'd suggest is that the Decathlon web page suggests that it takes 1 hour for one person to put it up. I'm pretty good at DIY, and it took me almost 2 hours, and I'd suggest that it is much safer putting it up with 2 people, particularly when mounting the backboard and net.

I am looking at using the Kipsta basketball wall attachment to mount my sons basketball net and backboard above my garage. Before I go ahead and order I would like to know the full dimensions to ensure it will fit where I propose to mount it. In particular I need to know the distance between wall mounting points and the distance between the backboard mounting points plus how far the arms project forward because it would need to bring the backboard forward far enough to clear the

This is an excellent product. Did not want a pole top hoop that would get blown away in the wind. Did not want a board that had no height adjustment. Found this, had it delivered and am delighted with it. Was a few weeks late as it had to come from England.
Robust. 3 good height settings.
