easy to use and very smooth, both while paying out and taking in. Rope fits through slots easily but the braking is still positive. It is a bit heavier than some other belay plates.

This is my second review as for some reason my first was removed. This belay device is difficult to control the speed of the climber. For sport or in the gym it isn't the best. For trad it is good for gental catches.
But why remove my first review?

Not as sticky as similar devices used in the past.
Anodizing is well coated and even, again something that similar devices have issue with.
Purchased a couple for staff to use and most suitable ones used to date.
