TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

How to choose an inner tube

Check the information indicated on the sidewall of the tyre (diameter and width).
For example, 20 x 2.10 means that the tyre is 20 inches in diameter and 2.10 inches wide.
On the tyre sidewall you will also find the dimensions in mm in ETRTO international units. For example, 50-406 means a tyre that is 50mm wide and has an inner diameter of 406mm (approx. 20 x 2.00).

Removing an inner tube

Remove the old inner tube using B'Twin tyre levers

Checks to carry out before installing an inner tube

Check the condition of your tyre and replace it if necessary.
Make sure no objects are lodged in the tyre.
Check the condition of your tyre rim strip. A rim strip that is even slightly bent can cause punctures.
Check that your rim does not have any other issues that could damage your inner tube.

Mounting the inner tube

Watch our video before you start.
Pre-inflate the inner tube slightly to avoid pinching.
Insert the valve, making sure you are using the correct valve for your rim.
Put the inner tube entirely inside the tyre so that it fits inside the rim.
Take care not to pinch the inner tube when fitting.

Mounting the tyre

Start mounting the tyre at the valve.
Finish mounting the tyre opposite the valve to avoid pinching the inner tube.
Never mount your tyre with a tool or a tyre lever, as you risk pinching and puncturing the inner tube.

Inflating the tyre

Inflate your tyre carefully, to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer (visible on the tyre sidewall in PSI or bars, 1 bar = 14.51 PSI).
Regularly check that your tyre is in the correct position as you inflate it.

Tip from the pros

To prevent any puncture from pinching and to achieve the best performance, we recommend checking and, if necessary, pumping up your front tyre before each ride.

Seems to be made from good thick rubber. Time will tell how good these tubes are in the long run for puncture resistance and general wear and tear

Upon fitting the inner tube to the tyre with some air in it, it seems the tube is longer than the tyre. It kind of folds a bit (BTWIN Foldable bike) after fitting.Who knows if it's still folder once fully inflated.

So far it still holds the tyre and works....

According to specification, it is within the range of the common low end mountain bike we see around us.

In practice, I found it is not probably not going to fill up the wider outer tire as fully as the ones we have at the neighborhood bicycle shop, which is getting increasingly expensive to go to for replacement.

I have using for sometimes and I would say if you are more conservative on the riding habits, it would not be a problem.

Decathlon might want to consider narrowing down the range to suit the norm here.

The inner tube is compatible with the bikes that we sell as well as other brands. Yes, the tyre size might be the same but the width of the tyre might differ from brand to brand.

I bought these tubes to replace old ones that came with my pair of foldable bikes. After more or less one year, there has been flat tires out of nowhere (no punctures on tyres or evidence like nails or thumbtacks). It just got old and weaker sections end up leaking.

The 20' 1.7 to 2.2 Schrader Valve Inner Tube is not suppose to deflate on its own as our product have at least 2 years warranty. Worry-free as you can bring down your bicycle and we can ask the Bicycle Workshop to have a look at the inner tube and rectify the problems.
