Now that I am familiar with and know not to fiddle with them too much, these are ok. With my first use of them, I adjusted them several times and these cables seem more susceptible to unravelling (and are difficult to wind back up) and fraying if handled too much. Otherwise, they work well

It was by chance I stumbled upon the stainless brake cables in decathlon. Normally I buy my brake cables in wilkinsons, but I'd recently won 10 quid on the national lottery and was in a position to splash out on some higher quality bike products. After stumbling out of the young offenders institution in Reading, and into Mc donalds (for a bigmac), I went into Decathlon looking for something to spend my remaining five quid on. Half way round the store, and I came to an abrupt stop in front of the brake cables. These wer no galvanised steel things that rust, snap and try to kill you, but stainless of the highest space grade quality. Since they were so cheap, I was able to get two cables, one for the front and one for the back. I am now so happy.
