The material of the embossed cap is waterproof, it protects the head from splashes above water, but it isn't watertight. It primarily provides comfort and therefore does not grip the head, which means water can pass under the cap.

Very easy to put on and doesn’t pull my hair, it is large enough to get all my long thick hair in and is watertight and doesn’t move or slip when on.

Sorry to hear about your experience with this swimhat, unfourtantly this style of swimming hat is not designed to keep the hair dry, it is more to keep the hair together, the silicone swimming hats would keep your hair much dryer but are a much tighter fit, next time you are in the store please ask one of our watersports team and we can help you choose something more suitable.
