    • Rubbish

      Brendan (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Wish I had read the other reviews before purchasing, too fiddly to use and not particularly sturdy.
      Response of the brand
I gather the schrader valve is fine it's the swapping over to presta which is fiddly. I agree with you. I guess that if you only have one type of valve to deal with it's fine but if you have to keep swapping over due to owning multiple bike then it can be a pain. In such cases, the best option is to either opt for a pump with a dual head (such as the excellent 9000 model) or to purchase a small brass adapter which you screw on to the bike valve allowing you to inflate a presta valve with a schrader attachment. Not ideal I can appreciate but it does work
If you are not happy with the pump and it's features then please return it to us for an exchange or a refund.

    • Value for money

      David (United Kingdom)

The FLP 5000 isn't the fanciest of pumps but it does its job.
Comes with a pressure gauge and goes up to 10 psi.
Fits both shrader and presta valves.
Its size is also convenient; not massive.

Looks good but Didn't come with any instructions and I can't work out how to change valve to presta - please can you advise?
      Response of the brand
If you visit the product page online, the last image of the item is an image displaying how to invert the valve for presta.

    • Not bad

I got this as I needed a pump so I could seat my tyres poperly onto the rim, it was a bit fiddly to change from shrader to presta but I managed to. I was unable to get enough air into the tubes for the tyre to seat properly. This seemed to to the trick!

Value for money is brilliant, I've not used the more expensive ones so I cannot compare it but it does what i need it to do and does it well.

I actually used it in the auto healing 700 x 28-35mm tubes will let you know ow those work out too!
    • Not worth the frustration

      Miguel (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
I bought this pump last week on Decathlon Edinburgh, planning to use it in a road bike. Specs on paper were good: readable manometer, high pressure, dual valve. Trying to inflate my tyres became a chore, though.

      Several problems:
      1) The pump comes configured for Schrader valves. This shouldn't be a problem, but the instructions are confusing, and the rubber ring was so tightly stuck that, after breaking a nail, I could only manage to reverse the ring using a scissor blade.
      2) Once in "presta" mode, the cap is very fiddly. A colleague's cheap floor pump is much better.
      3) Due to the above issue, I didn't trust the pressure reading.

After this experience, I went back to the store, the very same day, to get a refund, which I used to get the Airworx 10.0 pump. It may be twice the price, but so far it hasn't ended up in blood, pain and frustration.
      Price, specs on paper
Annoying valve switch, presta leaks at high press.
      Response of the brand
      Hello Miguel,

Thank you for your detailed review on this product. I do agree that this pump can be quite fiddly if you need to change the inside of the valve over to presta from the original set up. This is so tight because if it isn't it will leak air, this however does provide the issues you faced. In store I always recommend the FP900. We use this in all the stores across the UK both in the build area and workshop.

Hope you have better luck with the Airworx 10.0.
