    Product feature
    1. Laboratory Testing
We carry out laboratory tests to validate all component parts: fabric, buckles, straps, foam and zips. For example, for fabric: resistance to wear & tear, colour-fastness under UV rays, washing, waterproofing. A final test the finished product reproduces an accelerated version of the stresses the bag will endure over the years, to assess the strength of the assembly: the backpack is weighted then placed on a dummy which then reproduces the movement of fast walking over thousands of cycles.
    2. 10-year guarantee, technical partnership
The guarantee covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year guarantee will only be granted upon presentation of the product and sales receipt. If the product is under guarantee, it will be repaired or exchanged for free. This commercial guarantee does not affect any statutory guarantees that are applicable in the country of purchase.
    3. How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
    4. Environmental measures
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over the entire lifecycle of the product using different indicators. An overall rating of ABCDE is provided to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type with each other (t-shirts, trousers and backpacks). Decathlon is a voluntary actor in this environmental labellling process. For further information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
    5. How to adjust your backpack?
1 - Loosen all straps (braces, hip belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3 - For backpacks with a capacity of 50 L or more, place the belt on the hips (it should encompass the iliac bones of the pelvis) and tighten. For smaller weights, the belt should be placed around the waist. 4 - Tighten the shoulder straps. 5 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
    6. How to pack a backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Place heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet should be placed under the flap and the tent beneath the pack if there is no space inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece close to hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. Put the water bladder in the compartment that is usually provided

    8. Environmental measurements
Oxylane and Quechua have decided to inform you of the environmental impact of its hiking backpacks over their entire lifespan. This work follows an experiment that began in July 2011 with the French Ministry of Ecology. Scores ranging from A to E were awarded based on comparisons between Quechua's backpacks only. Details on this project and the calculation methods used are available at http://www.oxylane.com/20/demarche-environnementale

    • Great pack for smaller adults

I am not a teenager but I am a petite lady of just over 5ft. This pack was perfect for me. Very easy to wear, supportive straps and a great colour. It seems well made and of good quality. I would recommend this pack for teenagers and small adults. I suspect that my kids will borrow this when they go out with d of e expeditions.

    • Great 1st bag

I bought this for my 11year old. Little bit big but she continues to grow so be soon the perfect size for her. We haven't fully tested it out with her full camping gear but so far so good.

My only 2 downsides are the full front zip opening to the bag and no raincover or option to buy on that fits perfectly. I rated it 4 stars mainly due to not fully testing it out yet but will be doing shortly.
