    Product feature
    1. Feather origin
We are committed to being responsible for our production, we have decided to work only with RDS certified suppliers (Responsible Down Standard Certified) that guarantee that the down and feathers used come from ducks and geese bread for their meat, and treated without cruelty. For more information: http://responsibledown.org/ http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/documents-et-rapports/documents/
    2. Fill Power of the down/feather filling
For this down jacket filled with 85% down/15% feathers, the fill power is guaranteed to be greater than or equal to 660 CUIN. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. Down with higher fill power takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
    3. Weight of the filling
      XS: 162 g S: 170 g M: 178 g L: 188 g XL: 198 g: 208 g XXXL: 220 g
    4. The advantages of duck down and feather filling*
The down's long-lasting fill power gives it 3 important qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra-lightweight: with equal warmth feather is lighter than synthetic wadding. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible
    5. Care instructions for jackets filled with down and feathers
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow our advice by clicking the link below: How to wash and dry your down jacket

    6. In the event of rain
The material of this padded jacket is water-repellent. It makes drops of water run off the fabric so it takes longer for water to get inside the jacket, giving you time to find shelter. But the padded jacket is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the padded jacket in case of prolonged exposure to rain.
    7. A score for comparing the products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most environmentally-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc). Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental data of its products. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

    • Not suitable for the mountains

Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Purchased two weeks ago from your Braehead Store. Has been worn to the office and the jacket performs well on the journey into work (on a train).

However I went on a short 8km walk in the Kilsyth Hills, max altitude around 500m, temp 1.5C, wind 16mph ESE, dry and sunny. With the wind at my back there was a cold spot around my neck despite wearing a warm hat and trying to pull the hood of my fleece up to cover my neck, the jacket rode up my back on the uphill sections resulting in the base of my back being cold, the jacket is too short at the back.

Walking into the wind the jacket has a cold spot around the neck and the length of the front could also be longer for warmth, I was cold because of this.

I was glad I tested it in a short walk in winter conditions, I don't think it lives up to being 'Designed for The mountain trekker. Over a few days in cold weather.'

Suggested improvements, increase body lenght of jacket, add hood and it will be usable in the hills.
