  • Bike pedals

    Ian (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Worked well easy to fit on my stationary bike I recently bought so I can use it
with clippons and my son can use it with his trainers
  • Bad. Pedals worked 1.5 years and then one broke.

    Marcelo (United Kingdom)
Used for More than 1 year
Pedals worked for one year and a half (30 minutes 3 times per week, I was 73 kgs ) and then left pedal broke in a standing position giving me a long and severe cut on the back of my leg. Went immediately to A&E cause profuse bleeding and now I have a horrible scar on the back of my leg.
    Response of the brand
    Dear Sir,
I'm sorry to read that the pedal broke on your bike. I also hope that your leg is better.
The axle is made out of cromoly steel and therefore should not snap at all (if this is he case). I am unable to determine why this happened.
You have a 2yr warranty with this item in case of a manufacturing defect. Please contact your local Decathlon store of the online loyalty team who will be more than happy to assist and discuss the matter directly with you in more detail.

  • Good idea but not the best execution.

    alan (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Bought these for my winter bike which I also use for popping to the shops etc. Therefore I didn't want to have to put my SPD shoes on for quick journeys. My problem is that although the size and shape of the "flat/non-SPD" side is good, it's also really slippy! There are no pins or cleats like most flat pedals just a very subtle texture on a smooth paint surface. This not only makes selecting the flat side tricky but also means I have had my feet slip off of the pedals! This is particularly a problem in the wet. Shame as this could've been a really good product.
  • 2 pairs, both Failed after 2000 km riding

    TIM (United Kingdom)
Used for 7 to 12 months
I've now had 2 pairs of these, both have failed by the axle coming out of the body after approx. 2000 km of riding in all weathers, as they have been used for daily commuting. There is no user serviceable parts, so not a lot that can be done to extend their life. I'm "heavy", but was promised these would hold up.

The warranty /guarantee is great as the first were replaced without hassled, and I expect the second pair to be as well, but I really don't want to have to go back to the store "again" to get another set.

Just save yourself the hassle and get a set of proper Shimano A530's instead,
    Response of the brand
thank you for your detailed review. I will forward it on to the team in charge of pedals st b'Twin.

  • BTwin SPD Dual platform Pedals

    STEVEN (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
These pedals are easy to fit onto your bike, the clip tension can be adjusted to suit but unfortunately, if you lose the tension bolt, it can't be replaced (or so I was told by a Decathlon staff member) so you have to buy a new set of pedals hence I've only rated them as "Good"
