Product feature
  1. The purpose of a cycling jacket
The third layer is the layer that protects you from the elements, for instance the cold and the wind, while the underneath layers offer warmth and breathability. By wearing a suitable cycling jacket, you will maintain your performance and stay comfortable whatever the weather. This very light 900 jacket is perfect for intensive use and provides good protection from the wind, rain (it is water repellent) & cold.
  2. Warmth
A product's ability to protect from the cold. It depends on the material's thermal resistance and how much air can pass through it. The higher its thermal resistance, the more the product retains the heat produced by the body while cycling. This jacket provides excellent thermal protection in spring/autumn when it is always difficult to find the right balance between warmth and breathability. Developed in collaboration with a professional team.
  3. Breathability
To determine whether a fabric is breathable, we measure its evaporative resistance (test based on standard ISO 11092). The lower its resistance, the more the fabric will let water vapour produced by the body escape, and therefore the more breathable it is. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric.
  4. Water repellent
Waterproofing is a fabric's ability to prevent rain water from passing through. A fabric's water repellency is its ability to make water bead and/or run along its surface. The garment soaks up little or no moisture, dries more quickly, and doesn't become heavier. Water repellency can also make it more difficult for its outer surface to become dirty. Water repellency is obtained by applying a treatment to the fabric's external surface.
  5. Care tips
Machine wash at 30°C. Synthetic programme. Turn the garment inside out. Use minimal laundry detergent. Do not add softener. Line dry in a warm, ventilated area. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Do not bleach. Do not place on a heater to dry.
  6. Product tests
Our team of product designers based at the B'Twin Village in Lille is continuously working to make cycling more comfortable for our users. Our obsession is to create products that meet the specific cycling needs of our users and eliminate hindrances to a good cycling experience. We then test our products in the field, as we are convinced that only by subjecting them to real world conditions, like the ones you experience on your bike, can we continuously improve our products.

  • Excellent

Fit is really snug but that’s what I was after.

Only used it once on a cold and windy day with a winter jersey underneath and it kept the wind out perfectly, not a hint of cold.

Now I have no excuse to stay in when it’s cold... as for the rain though...
  • Gabba Jacket Review

    Neil (United Kingdom)

This gabba jacket is top quality. Designed for winter use without being loose. Very aero. Stylish cut of the fabric. If it was made by a different brand, it would retail at 4 x the price. But nothing feels cheap about it, if anything the exact opposite. Can’t fault it, standard is top notch. I’ve recommended it to all my training partners.

Great jacket , though sizes are small so go up at least one size! Wore now two or three times and mix and match with base layers , best jacket owned to date. Good in dry and in showers, no down hors yet, but so far loving it !
Comfortable and easy to ride in
    Sizes need adjusting
  • 2nd time purchase & the collar fit is good

    Dominic (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
This is my second review of this jersey (see "Decent jersey but hampered by poor fitting collar") and I'm happy to report that the issue I experienced with the collar must have been a one off - the collar on this version fits perfectly.

I've just given it a torture test of sorts - hill training in the peak district at 8ºc and drizzly conditions and it performed fantastically - it kept me dry and also totally protected from the wind during the descents. Sure I had to open it up when really working hard but I would with similar Fiandre or Etxeondo versions of this type of jersey at twice the cost.

If it were available as a short sleeve jersey (or half sleeve jersey) with matching arm warmers in the same material it would be a genuine 5 star product - just a little more versatile and suitable for training in slightly warmer weather. Hopefully decathlon could make this happen for spring :)
Water beads off, totally windproof, great value
