  • Ok if it doesnt rain

Bought for our trip to the new forest, on one of the days it rained whilst we were out. When we got back it had collapsed. In the middle where the 2 poles are the rain had collected there and down it went with a complete flood on the inside. Took back to the store and got told we didnt peg it out correctly. I have been camping for 30years I think I know how to put up a tent and how to peg it out. after half an hour of arguing got my money back but no consolation for the loss of my electric camp fridge

As expected, a great product. A little silicon spray on the zips helped but other than that no problems other than the slow delivery. Use it to connect to my long wheelbase Ford transit custom, was so good my mate bought the identical product for his Vauxhall Van, can join both units together to form large living space.
  • Four nights camping

I would have given 5 stars but for the pegs on the windward side pulling out during stormy weather and that side collapsing with the cross bar falling out also. Repegged using yellow plasic pegs which did not pull out, will be getting the longer version to make sure they do not pull out again. Also had to put more air in after it collapsed, the temperature had dropped which was probably the reason for this.
    Other than that loved it!
Worked really well as an awning for my Berlingo and "community centre" for the rwo other tents with me.
  • Brilliant pop up space, ideal for campervans.

Just back from the most recent of three trips with the base seconds xl this year (six in total since purchase in June 2017). On each we've had conditions varying from high Atlantic winds (Scotland nc500) torrential rain (France) to heavy wing AND rain (Langdale, Lakes). We use it as a dining shelter, crawling space for our baby and toddler, and also extra sleeping space alongside our campervan. It is absurdly simply to erect and disassemble, a real plus if, like me, you have to intermittently chase children. The pegs supplied are perfectly serviceable but I'd like to get some decent stakes, as in a heavy rain laying the guys at a good angle is essential to keep the water from pooling between the two roof poles and spoiling the head. We had to collapse it once in Clachtoll (nc500) due to force 5-6 winds which threatened to blow it away, but it should be noted that this is a relatively simple shelter not designed to take the abuse that has been thrown at it. That it has survived this year intact and weatherproof in such extreme conditions is amazing and speaks volumes about the quality of materials used considering the low price point. A (very) weatherproof and flexible living space that works perfectly in tandem with a campervan.
  • Spot on for a campervan

Small pack size, light weight and fast pitching make this great for touring in a campervan. What we didn't expect was how fast these are to pack; deflates in 30 seconds or so then easy to get back into its bag. Attaches well to the awning loops under the roof on the Mazda Bongo Camper or the rain gutters. Slept in it one night to try, totally waterproof in a Welsh Coast downpour.
