Product feature
  1. Limiting the risk of chafing
In the heel and the tip, the component is a polyamide spun with a second thread of PTFE-coated polyamide that helps to reduce the risk of blisters forming. These socks cannot protect 100% from blisters. Blisters usually appear when our skin is weakened by chafing, caused by socks, shoes or foreign bodies. Damp also plays an important role as it weakens the skin.
  2. Characteristics of the threads
The heel and toe of the sock are made from friction free polyamide to reduce rubbing. The rest of the sock is made from a fast drying polyamide to reduce the feeling of having sweaty feet. Specific loop areas are made thicker for greater comfort. Well ventilated knit zones to wick away seat.
  3. How to choose the height of your socks
We have produced 3 heights of hiking socks. "Short" socks that reach over your shoes but remain under the ankle. The “mids" are slightly higher than your ankle to protect it. These 2 heights are designed to be worn with low shoes. "High" socks are ideal with hiking boots as they are slightly lower than the calf.
  4. Choosing your hiking sock size
Our socks are available in 4 different shoe sizes (35/38, 39/42,43/46, 47,50). We use elastane in all our socks, so that they fit closely to your feet and remain in place. We all have feet of different lengths, proportions and sizes: to do this, it is important to try your hiking socks in the store before buying them. Also try out your socks before going on a long hike

  • Ok socks

Socks ok. Comfortable but I still got blisters despite well worm boots. These socks claim to reduce blisters
  • Very poor. Too much friction & heat. Blisters!

    jim (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
Used socks on a climbing trip to Swizerland. Every time I used them I found they generated too much friction and heat causing blisters. Have warn them cycling since, and found the same. Very dissapointed. Not up to my expectation of Quechua usual very high standards. Material felt and behaved like a cheap pair of man made fibre football type socks.

I love them. They are comfortable to wear and protect my ankles and toes.
  • Too tight for size 11

    Dafydd (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Comfy/good except that they are rather tight for a size 11 - so if 10.5/11+ I'd consider skipping these.

I've had numerous socks from Decathalon which have been fine (Forclaz 100 are the comfiest socks I own) so it seems limited to this range.
