Product feature
  1. Measurement of the thermal insulation of our shoes:
Based on tests on how the cold is felt in the field and in the laboratory with a panel of users, we measure the thermal resistance of our shoes at rest (static) and in activity (dynamic). It is now possible to know precisely up to what temperature your shoes protect you. Temperature limits of comfort for your shoes are indicated. We take into account differences in sensation between men and women in our data.
  2. Footwear waterproofing test:
Tested in the laboratory, the shoes give you an optimal impermeability. First immersed in water under air pressure, they are checked for bubbles in the surface of the boot. Then they are placed on a mechanical arm simulating walking, half immersed in water. We then check if the inside of the shoe remains perfectly dry. These laboratory tests are supplemented with use and aging tests on the field.
  3. 3 levels of waterproofing:
During the impermeability test, we tested 3 levels of impermeability, 2000 flexions (about 4 km of walking), 4000 flexions (about 8 km of walking) and 8000 flexions (about 16 km of walking).
  4. Level of impermeability of the shoe:
This model of shoe has been tested up to 8,000 flexions equivalent to 16 km of walking.
  5. SNOWCONTACT technology:
SNOWCONTACT soles are designed from a specific component and a cleat design adapted to ensure the best possible grip and adherence. SNOWCONTACT soles are more effective than traditional soles on snow. In case of use on ice, only the addition of anti-slip grips will ensure optimal safety.
  6. Field tests:
This shoe has been tested on the field in climatic conditions adapted to its use by hikers accompanied by the product manager. We analyse in particular the technical elements of the shoe to validate the product in relation to its specifications and the feedback that you send us.
  7. Laboratory tests:
Our engineers conduct laboratory tests to fully guarantee your usage satisfaction. We validate among others the following elements: eyelets and straps support, collage, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of the sole, components of the upper and accelerated ageing.

  • These boots have no traction on ice whatsoever.

I bought these boots as I am going to Iceland and have been breaking them in during the snowy weather in London. While the boots are comfortable and warm , they have no grip whatsoever on ice. My feet skidded on small patches of ice on the pavement this morning - so the all the information on "maximum traction on all kinds of winter terrain (snow and ice)" is misleading.
  • Great shoe for its price

I have just done Snowdon with these shoes and was nicely surprised how well they did. They maybe stiff but that is what gives it great ankle support. Good on soft snow but for icy snow I would recommend getting some spikes. Very comfortable boot!
  • Not amazing

    Keyala (United Kingdom)
Used for 3 to 6 months
I bought these about 6 months ago to use for working in the outdoors, at first they were amazing but if you want a shoe that lasts, these are not the one. After a few weeks they stopped being warm and waterproof. If they aren't going to be used much then they will probably be okay, but they are shoes..they get used.
  • Don't last long

    Angela (United Kingdom)
Used for 7 to 12 months
I bought these boots a year ago and absolutely love them. They're cosy, comfy and I ranted and raved about them to anyone and everyone. Unfortunately this last week, the black top layer seems to be coming off one of my boots, and when I went out today, I realised this stops it from being waterproof. I came home with one very soggy foot. I'm really upset, as to me they seemed the perfect boot, but I would have expected them to last for more than a year. Unfortunately I can't find my receipt (as they do have a 2 year guarantee) so I am now going to be out of pocket as I'll need to replace them.
All in all, a great boot, but make sure you keep your receipt somewhere safe!!
  • A good versatile boot

    Ilaria (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I bought these boots for my trip to Lapland. I preferred them to snow boots because I don't often visit places with lots of snow. They were warm enough to walk on snow and ice up to -12°. They were also comfortable for walking around in town. I will definitely use them in multiple occasions. Stylish as well, much better than the usual pink/purple/furry snow boots available for women.
