Product feature
  1. Durability
Double fabric thickness on the front of legs. Fabric resistant to the aggressive vegetation often found in forests, such as brambles and ferns.
  2. Garment waterproof properties
These trousers have passed a shower test under 100 litres of water/sqm/hour for 3 hours. This test reproduces the same conditions as a heavy storm.
  3. Pockets
2 hand pockets + 1 cargo pocket with flap. Pockets are waterproof.
  4. Component breathability
To find out whether a component is breathable, we test its evaporate resistance or RET (based on ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more moisture, generated by an active body, is evaporated, and therefore the higher the breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathability. Complex RET of the Inverness 500 W/P trousers = 12 m/².Pa/W, i.e. very breathable.
  5. Water repellent fabric
A fabric is water-repellent when water slides off the surface of the fabric, without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. Water repellency is achieved through a treatment applied to the fabric's exterior. We recommend that this treatment, which must be repeated during the life of the garment, be done after each wash. All our waterproof trousers are water-repellent.
  6. A rating for comparing products environmental impact
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over its entire life cycle and with different indicators. An overall score (ABCDE) is attributed to help you easily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type with one another (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon chose to apply this voluntary environmental labelling scheme. For more info:
