  5. Waterproofing
Quechua tents are tested in the laboratory (tent mounted under 200 litres/sqm/hour for 4 hours, the equivalent of a tropical rain storm), as well as in field test missions. 75 denier polyester (PE) flysheet, polyurethane coated (interior) water-repellent treatment (exterior), PE 75D bedroom floor cover. Seams sealed with thermo-bonded strips. Bedroom in breathable and water-repellent PE 66D and part-mosquito net, to avoid contact with drops of condensation.
  6. Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the tent to the wind. To guarantee its wind resistance, the tent must be properly pitched, taut but not excessively so, with all the guy ropes well deployed around the tent. In this way, it will remain habitable with a wind speed measured at 70 km/h near the ground.
  7. Ventilation and condensation reduction
Bedroom with mosquito net sections for ventilation and water-repellent fabric sections to protect from condensation and draughts. Large vent at the front of the tent’s flysheet and ventilation at the bottom. To limit condensation inside your tent, it must be correctly pitched, the canvas stretched out, but not excessively so. The use of ventilation and good air circulation limits humidity inside your tent.
  8. Sun protection
Titanium dioxide (Ti0²)-coated flysheet fabric guarantees UPF protection of 50+. Please note: a large amount of UV rays can pass through an open door. Protect your skin.
  9. Warranty & after-sales service
As designers and users who love our natural playground, we care about the durability of our products, which is why all our tents are designed to be repairable. You will find spare parts (tent pole repairs, etc.) on the shelves or at the workshop of your local Decathlon store, on the website or at the following address: http://spi-atelier.decathlon.fr/atelier/produit/1966778 In case of a problem, get your tent examined in your local Decathlon store.
  10. A score to compare products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impacts are calculated over its entire lifecycle using various indicators. An overall ABCDE rating is provided to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks...). Decathlon is a voluntary player in this environmental information approach. For more info: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
