Bedroom height: 95cm Boosters (built-in single-strand poles) at the 4 corners increase the usable volume inside the tent. 60 m wide (at widest point) porch provides storage space that doesn't obstruct bedroom entrance. 3. Poles, pegs
Aluminium poles Ø 9 mm DAC Featherlite NSL lightweight and resistant to breakage and frost. Tent pegs: heavy duty and lightweight DAC aluminium tent pegs.
  4. Pitching/striking
Extremely quick pitching/striking. The flysheet and bedroom are pre-assembled. Poles are attached to sleeves in the tent so you can save precious time when pitching. It is also quick to strike. To get the tent back in its bag, simply attach the poles together in the elastics (once folded), fold up the tent until it's roughly the width of the bag and then tightly roll up the tent and poles.
  5. Waterproofing
Quechua tents must pass a laboratory test (pitched tent under a 200 L/m²/hr shower for 4 hours – equivalent to a tropical shower) as well as field test missions. 40 denier polyester (PE) flysheet with a polyurethane coating (inside) & silicone coating (outside), PE 75D groundsheet. Seams sealed with heat-sealed strips. Bedroom composed of breathable and water-repellent 40D polyester and a mosquito net to prevent contact with drops of condensation.
  6. Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a rotating platform where we can expose each side of the tent to the wind. To test its wind resistance, the tent must be properly pitched, taut but not stretched, with all the guy ropes in position around the tent. It should remain habitable at wind speeds of 70km/h, measured near ground level.
  7. Ventilation and condensation prevention
Room partly covered with a mosquito net for ventilation and partly covered with a water-repellent fabric to protect against condensation and draughts. Large vent at the front of the tent's flysheet and additional vent at the feet-end. To reduce condensation inside your tent, it must be properly pitched, with the fabric kept taut without being over-stretched. Vents and good air flow will help reduce humidity inside your tent.
  8. Sun protection
The flysheet fabric filters UV rays with a UPF of 30. Please note: a large amount of UV rays can pass through an open door. Protect your skin.
  9. Eco-design
Entire tent made of 20% recycled materials, thereby reducing the product's environmental impact. Flysheet made of 50% recycled materials. The bedroom is made of a "bulk dyed" component that reduces the amount of water used. The tent poles are coloured using an innovative anodising process that does not use nitric and phosphoric acids.
  10. Warranty and after-sales service
Every tent sold at Decathlon is guaranteed for 2 years of normal use (your receipt or loyalty card is used as proof of purchase). In case of any problem, get your tent examined at your local Decathlon store. All Quechua tents are repairable: spare parts and a pole repair service are available in the workshop of your local Decathlon store, on the shelves or at decathlon.fr After-sales and repair service information: http://spi-atelier.decathlon.fr/atelier/produit/1621088

  • Perfect!

Used for More than 1 year
Solid, reliable tent. We've had this tent for over a year now with my girlfriend. We used it a lot, on week long hikes. We got caught in a mountain storm with the heaviest rain and extremely strong winds. The tent held just great! And the pegs don't bend ever.
  • Garden Test in Thailand - 71 year old kid

Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I set up the tent in my garden in Thailand. Put a plastic sheet down first. A little difficult to get it stretched into a good shape so that it doesn't sag when you're inside.
It rained hard and no water came in. After a week, I noticed some wet patched on the ground sheet. Water had collected between the ground sheet and plastic sheet. Surprised to see it come through though.
Clipping open the sides was inadequate but I used plastic clothes pegs.
In Thailand, it felt humid and claustrophobic, except in the hard rain which was nice. I want to try an additional sun shade with a small tarp.
All in all, I like it. Love it.
  • extremely durable and lightweight for this price

Used for More than 2 years
I've used this tent 3 months a year for the last 5 years and I can testify of the durability of the materials. The zips, clips, stitches, poles and strings are still in perfect condition. Last summer I got a rip in the fabric of the flycover which I have fixed with duct tape and the repair has held well in rain and wind.
I love the design, so lightweight, compact when packed and very fast to put up.
Would give it 5 stars if it had one abside on each side.
  • One man and his dog...

    Neil (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
Withstood 45mph winds and pouring rain. The only water in the tent was brought in by me or a very wet dog, but no condensation in the morning and certainly no leakage.
Pitched without a practice in under 5 minutes (I did watch the video) and taken down and back into its small package in about 10 minutes.
Value for money and a great little two man tent.
  • Quickhiker Ultralight 2-person tent.

Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Only used it twice so far but it is nice and light and folds up small. You need to apply quite a reasonable amount of force to get the end of the pole into its retainer but the design is well thought out, it is quick to pitch and it is reasonably spacious for its size. Not tried it out in rain and wind yet but always trust Quechua to test their products well.
