Product benefits
  1. Ease of use
6 speeds, quick-release saddle. Bike weight: 12.9 kg.
  2. Bike safety
    Powerful and easy V-Brakes.
  3. Durability
Suspension fork, rear derailleur guard, reinforced saddle.
  4. Lifetime warranty
B’TWIN offers a lifetime warranty for the frame, stem, and handlebars.
Product feature
  1. Frame
Steel frame designed by B'TWIN. The lowered frame geometry makes it easier to get on and off the bike.
  2. Drive train
6 speeds. Ultra-soft shifter for children: A grip shifter is easier and safer to use (children don't have to let go of the handlebars to change gears). B'TWIN has chosen this grip shifter as it is specifically designed to fit children's hands and is extra soft.
  3. Handlebars / steering / stem
Quick-release saddle. Comfortable, reinforced (plastic shell) saddle for riding in a comfortable position. Fast, tool-free saddle adjustment. B'TWIN has chosen this reinforced saddle for its unerring durability (if the bike falls over, for example).
  4. Brakes
Very safe V-Brakes. B'TWIN has chosen to kit this bike out with a V-Brake system for easier use and maintenance, and better braking power.
  5. Chain guard
Full B'TWIN chain guard with patterns inlaid into the plastic. The chainguard offers increased safety by limiting the risk of injury from the chainwheel.
  6. Accessories / equipment
Fully-equipped for road use (dynamo-powered lighting, to be fully prepared when night falls, horn, reflectors). The rear derailleur guard protects the derailleur from damage in the event of impact.
Product testing
  1. Product restrictions
Do not use on rough ground. Wear a cycling helmet.
  2. Product catchline
20-inch, 6-speed bike equipped with a chainguard and lighting powered by a dynamo front hub.

  • No travel in suspension

    Andrew (United Kingdom)
Used for 3 to 6 months
For most bikes you can switch the travel on or off but on this bike there is no apparent way to do this. So it doesn't really work.
  • Excellent value for money

    kirsty (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
We purchased this bike for our sons birthday and he loves it. The bike looks really grown up and he finds it easy to ride. The same spec of bike anywhere else was nearly so he the price of this one.
  • B'TWIN Racing Boy 500 Kids - LEAKING FORKS

    Tom (United Kingdom)
Used for 7 to 12 months
Purchased this for my son for Xmas Dec 2017.
    Cant fault the bike...accept....
The right front fork is now leaking black residue can be seen around the seal.
I have sent to emails requesting what can be done about this... to no avail.
    Very disappointing customer service.
  • Great bike

    Dad (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
This is a great bike for a growing boy. not too expensive with enough spec to teach him about using gears etc. Could use a place to put a water bottle but apparently there is an adaptor of some sort so I will be popping into store to find out.
  • v poor service

    Barry (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
bike is ok but decathlon lost my order meaning the cancelled it before even informing me it was ready meaning i had to pay twice for the bike and await a refund. Bike was also assembled very dangerously and handlebars became detached whilst my son was riding within 5 minutes of getting home. fed back but customer service is v poor
    Response of the brand
    Dear Sir,
I'm very sorry to read that you encountered issues with your order as well as the bike set up.
Could you tell me if the 2nd bike was delivered to your home or was it set up in a store? if it was set up in a store, could you tell me which one?
All of our teams receive dedicated bike building training and have the correct tools at their disposal to safely and correctly set up customer bike which is why I wish to investigate this further.
Your reply will not be public and will come directly to my inbox.
I look forward to hearing from you.
