Product feature
  1. Why have we created a brake lever specifically for children?
Because children have smaller hands than adults, it's not always easy for them to reach the brake lever. This is why our engineers and designers have designed a brake lever closer to the handlebars that is easier to hold. The brakes are now in reach of little hands!
  2. Controlled braking
Two V-Brake pads for effective braking. These brakes are composed of callipers that exert more or less pressure on the rim to slow or stop the rotation of the wheels.
  3. Single speed
With only one speed, the bike is simple and remains effective on flat terrain.
  4. Frame designed for MTB
This robust steel frame is designed to overcome obstacles on all your MTB outings.
  5. A reinforced, ergonomic saddle
A saddle with a sporty design, designed with care to adapt to the morphology of children. It is equipped with a plastic section on the rear (a bumper) to protect against any impacts.
  6. 20" wheels and MTB tyres
The tyres are designed for mountain biking. The side lugs provide good grip when turning. The recommended pressure is indicated on the tyre sidewall. 20-inch 1.7 to 2.2 cross-section inner tube with Schrader valve.
  7. MTB fittings
This MTB is equipped with a bell, lighting, wheel reflectors and platform pedals. The frame is also compatible with other B'Twin accessories: - front and rear mudguards - stand - rear pannier rack

  • B Twin 20" bike

We bought 2 of these bikes for my twin grandsons 7th birthday. We commented on what a great idea it was that the bikes had "smiley" emojis on the brake handles pointing to the back & front brakes to show kids which bike was which.
OH DEAR!!!! My grandsons went to the park with their Daddy to try out their new bikes. One of them pulled the "back brake" - the one with the backwards pointing emoji, only to go flying over the handlbars when the front brake came on!
I took the bikes back to Decathlon to have them checked only to be told "the bikes come in from France and it is how they are made.
Everyone knows the right brake is always the back brake and vice versa."
Well guess what Decathlon, 7 year old kids don't!!
This was the only flaw we could find, a great idea but wrong way round!!
In all fairness the store gave me a voucher for future use, but my issue is the fact that my grandson could have been seriously injured had he been on the road.
This needs sorting out Decathlon - remove the emojis from these bikes to prevent this occurring again to some other child.
I will click the "YES" to reccomend this product as it is a lovely bike, but this problem does need addressing as a matter of urgency.

I bought this product for my son's seventh Birthday on Saturday. I'm sure he'll love it. It's great quality and seems sturdy. Time will tell when he opens it on his birthday. Was packaged well and came a day early.

THe bike was ourchased for my 7 yr old sons birthday.
It arrived very quickly and setup was very quick as it was only the handlebars that needed pointing in the right direction and small back brake adjustment.

It feels like quick a solid bike, brake grips are plastic but do have a nive easy adjustment built in which is good.

The LED front/back lights were very low end, but wont be used anyway.
  • Good Bike - Poor Setup

Bike is very good and my 6 year old boy loves riding this. However, I had bike delivered rather than collect in store and when it arrived it appears that if any setup/check has been completed then this was a very careless or sloppy check prior to delivery.

Firstly the tyres were flat, easy enough to sort as I have a track pump, but more frustrating was the brake set up, there was no tension or stopping power when applying the breaks.

Fortunately I have a bike stand and know my way round a bike and had to tension the breaks correctly myself, it worries me if I hadn't checked this first and corrected before letting my son on the bike, he wouldn't have been able to break or slow the bike down.

Also, there is a small arrow pointing forward on the break lever which activates the rear break, and an arrow pointing backwards on the lever which activates the front break. I'm guessing these arrows are in place on each lever to help a child know which break is which ?, if so they might want to point the arrows on the correct direction on each lever.

In all bike is great, just don't relay on it being set up correctly once it arrives, and check if the arrows on break levers are pointing in right direction, otherwise tell your child to ignore the arrows !
