Product feature
  1. Can I be sure that my trousers will offer effective protection in bad weather?
To face bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.), the Slide 500 Slim trousers were developed with a water-repellent and windproof component offering excellent thermal insulation.
  2. What's the point of having water-repellent trousers?
The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. The Slide 500 trousers are made from water-repellent materials to prolong their resistance to bad weather. This is an additional technical solution for staying dry for as long as possible on the ski slopes. You should repeat this treatment regularly using products sold in our stores to maintain these properties.
  3. What is a membrane and what's it for?
The trouser membrane consists of a very thin component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. This hydrophilic component prevents water from seeping in while wicking away perspiration. The membrane is absolutely necessary for keeping warm and dry
  4. Did you know that the wind makes you feel colder?
Consequently, when the outdoor temperature is 0°C and the wind speed is 20 km, it feels like -10°C. The so-called "windproof" components reduce this wind chill effect by stopping the air flow caused by the actual wind and the apparent wind generated by the sporting activity.
  5. How should I dress to avoid having cold legs on the slopes?
To keep the bottom of your body warm and dry, we recommend using the 2-layer rule. The principle is simple: Use 2 clothing layers, each with their own particular function. Your skiing base-layer and your liner jacket must produce and retain warmth. Your ski jacket will protect you from the weather conditions. All these layers should be breathable in order to evacuate humidity.
  6. Washing instructions
To optimise the performance and durability of your trousers, we recommend the following: Machine wash separately at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring out manually. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can restore the waterproofing the outer fabric using a waterproof spray for fabrics. Read the care label
