I bought these because the description suggested that they might be energy absorbing, but the rubber is very hard and they offer little shock absorbance in use. OK to prevent the click clacking of carbide tips on hard pavement but not an alternative to energy absorbing poles if you wish to protect ageing wrist, elbow and shoulder joints and their bulk and weight is greater than the rubber tip buffers of other makes like Leki.
