Product feature
  1. Feather origin
Thanks to our traceability system, we can guarantee the origin of the feathers, which are sourced in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers are committed to using only feathers that come from ducks that are bred for their meat and which are plucked after slaughtering. http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/documents-et-rapports/documents/
  2. The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The down's long-lasting fill power gives it 3 important qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding, while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible
  3. Fill power of down/feather padding
This 85/15 padded gilet has a guaranteed minimum fill power of 660 CUIN. "Fill power" is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity through its ability to "trap" a certain amount of air. Down with a higher fill power takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
  4. Care instructions for a down and feather gilet
The gilet can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow the instructions by clicking the link below: How to wash and dry your down jacket
    http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket
  5. Weight of the filling
    S: 67 g M: 71 g L: 75 g XL: 80 g XXL: 85 g XXXL: 93 g
  6. The advantages of a gilet
A gilet for keeping the body warm: it protects the chest, neck and lower back, which are particularly sensitive to the cold. Because it is sleeveless, it saves weight in the backpack and is even more breathable during physical activity, while also being extremely comfortable in movement when worn under a jacket. The sleeveless gilet is therefore especially appreciated during the physical exertion of a hike.
  7. In case of rain
This down gilet's fabric is water repellent, meaning the raindrops will slide off the surface of fabric. The water therefore takes longer to soak into the jacket, giving you time to find shelter. But the down gilet is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket on top in the event of prolonged exposure to rain.
  8. A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall rating from A to E is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing and contrasting products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon actively promotes this environmental rating initiative. For further information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/
