  • Perfect for commute or entry level

    Gabriel (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Hi! I used this bike for about a month, covering almost 400km, commuting only. It took some time to getting used to the controls (microshift versus my regular 105 shimano set + UK versus standard braking). I think it is brilliant, a little heavy but very sturdy. A little outdated the 3x8 but always found a shift and more importantly never had trouble shifting. The brakes are very good. All in all, given the price I think it is the right combination for worry free commuting or entry into road cycling world. I tried for a few weeks to find something better for the money and could not.
I have one question to decathlon - I wish to upgrade to a higher range model - can I trade this one in? Thank you!
  • Used it for Col Bagging

    Edward (United Kingdom)
Used for More than 2 years
Had the bike for a three years now. Use it as my fair weather bike. Taken it to France for the past two years where it's taken me up; Col de Tourmalet, Col d'Aspin, Col de Croix de fer, Col de Madelaine, Col de galibier and the Col
d'Izoard. No technical issues. The only thing I've renewed is the chain but that's just general maintenance.
  • Lasted less than a year!

    Jonathan (United Kingdom)
Used for 7 to 12 months
I've had this bike for 10 months now and front derailleur has broken clean off - the mounting collar snapped. I called Decathlon and was told there is nothing they can do - every other bike in the range carries a 2 year warranty but conveniently this one only has a 6 month warranty... disappointing!
    Response of the brand
Thank you for taking your time to contact us. I can confirm that this part has a 2 year manufacturing warranty. If the part is faulty, you can have it replaced FOC.

  • Great introductory bike

    Mark (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I decided to purchase this bike after deciding to get back into cycling. After some research on the internet this came highly recommended for people just starting to get back into cycling at a reasonable price.

I arranged through click and collect and picked up from the Gateshead store. The gentleman in the shop was excellent and built the bike quickly and efficiently.

So far I've done 4 x 30 mile rides and had no problems with the bike. It's a great ride i'm loving my adventures getting out and about. Only issue I've encountered is the seat can get uncomfortable after a few hours on the saddle. I therefore bought a gel seat cover and padded shorts to assist this.
  • Had the bike just under 3 months now

    iain (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I have not even done 200 miles on this bike. Just before the end of the first month the left crank arm came loose and came off, Decathlon replaced the crankset as the BB is square taper to a shimano one. After 4 rides and 60 miles the arm has come loose again. I think there may be a BB issue here. Fed up of losing trainign days and fed up with this bike. I would not recommend it to anyone. I am now looking into having the BB changed for a none square tapoered one.
    Response of the brand
I'm sorry to read that the crank arm came off. When this happens, both the arm and the bottom bracket needs to be replaced (if it is a square taper bb).
