Product feature
  1. WADDING THERMAL INSULATION
The thermal insulation is what keeps the skier at the right temperature: not too warm, nor too cold. The garment then adapts to the physical activity of the body and the outside environment. We use wadding for insulation to keep you warm. The wadding is a polyester-based synthetic material that traps a larger or smaller volume of air depending on the size of fibres used. The thicker the wadding, the more air there is, and the warmer it is.
  2. WATERPROOFING
The 100 trousers are designed to withstand 2 to 3 hours of intense snowfall. In order to cope with bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.), these trousers were developed with a sophisticated component and assembly that prevent water from getting in. To validate the waterproofing, the trousers were placed in a special shower that replicates the real-life conditions a skier will have to cope with.
  3. BREATHABLE COATING
A breathable coating means that the surface is coated with a paste or liquid. Once applied to a fabric, it creates a protective layer often used as a waterproof barrier that wicks away water vapour.
  4. WATER-REPELLENT FABRIC
The water repellent feature of a fabric is what makes water run off its surface without seeping in. Wed'ze trousers are made with a water-repellent component that makes it resistant to bad weather for longer and prevents water from getting in. It is an additional technical solution to make sure you stay dry for as long as possible throughout the day. This treatment must be regularly restored using the products sold in our stores in order to maintain these properties.
  5. BREATHABILITY
This is the trousers' ability to allow the water vapour produced during physical exercise to escape to the outside, keeping you dry. To find out if a fabric is breathable, its evaporative resistance, called RET (standardised test ISO 11092), is measured. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wedze uses technical components and features (zips, air vents, mesh) to prevent condensation inside the garment. RET of the 100 trousers: 12
  6. WINDPROOF
Did you know that you feel colder in the wind? Consequently, when the outdoor temperature is 0°C and the wind speed is 20 km, the perceived temperature is -10°C. So-called "windproof" components reduce this wind chill effect by stopping the air flow caused by the wind and by the relative speed of the sports activity.
  7. FIT INFORMATION
Our trousers provide enough room to wear tights underneath. Regular cut=> straight-cut trousers Relax cut => trousers baggy on the thighs Slim cut (stretch) => belted, close-fitting stretch trousers Sports cut=> tight trousers preformed at the knees. Bootcut => trousers which are flared from the calf down.
  8. DURABILITY
We take particular care in choosing all the elements used in our products. The durable materials and sturdy assemblies are tested during the highly instructive testing days! In particular, our trousers are all equipped with edge protection panels at the ankles to minimise any damage to the trousers from the ski edges.
  9. THERMAL ADVICE
To optimise the performance and durability of your trousers, we recommend the following: Machine wash separately at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring out by hand. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can restore the waterproofing the outer fabric using a waterproof spray for fabrics. Read the care label carefully
  10. A score to compare the environmental footprint of the products
The product's environmental footprint is calculated for its entire life using various indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.) Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental data of its products.
