Product benefits
  1. Rod action
    Rod action
The stiffness of this fast action rod aids long distance casting
  2. Distance
    Distance
The 3 lb test curve lets you cast weights up to 100 g beyond 100 m
  3. Power
When this 100 % HM carbon fibre rod bends, you can feel its great strength
  4. Visibility
Thanks to our UV headlamp, the MOON CONCEPT tip is visible in the dark
Product feature
  1. SIZE MATTERS
Length 9 ft (2.70 m). Carp rods between 9 and 10 ft are used for carp fishing from a boat, fishing on the move (itinerant fishing) or for limiting the amount of gear that you take along for very short sessions. The dismantled length of the rod is 1.40 m. No. of sections: 2 WEIGHT: 325g
  2. A TOP TIP ACTION ROD
Known as "fast action". The fast action of the Extrem-9 270 allows it to bend through the last third of its length to the tip. The rod's action is reduced, making the main body of these rods quite stiff. This means that the rod's action is reduced, ie it bends less when tension is applied by fish. The advantage is that the stiffness enables long distance casting
  3. RING SIZE
SEAGUIDE rings butt 40 mm, 30 mm, 20 mm, 16 mm, 12 mm and 12 mm tip. The distinguishing features of SEAGUIDE rings are that they are lightweight and highly resistant to braid. You can use braid on your reels with no fear of damaging your rings. This is a prime criterion of choice if you use braid regularly. RING ATTACHMENT: The rings are attached via three legs. These 3-leg guides are stronger for greater resistance to heavy duty casting.
  4. PLENTY OF POWER
The test curve of your rod is a gauge of two different but complementary characteristics: - The ability to resist a tensile force such as when playing a fish. -The rod's ability to cast a weight over a certain distance. The 3 lb test curve will enable you to cast up to 100 g beyond 100m and master big fish with ease.
  5. THE LITTLE EXTRA DETAILS
    1. INNOVATION: Better visibility at night. The MOON CONCEPT tip lights up when hit by UV light (MOON CONCEPT head lamp recommended) See explanatory video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OguuKteN11s 2. REEL SEAT: The metal reel seat is adjustable. This allows you to properly balance your outfit to optimize your casting Further information on: https://www.caperlan.fr/content/comment-regler-son-porte-moulinet
  6. PRESS-FIT TYPE
Inverted press-fit: the lower (bigger) section has a slimmer cylindrical piece added to the upper end. This spigot press-fits into the end of the upper section. The spigot joint improves the through action of the rod. CAUTION! Before casting, check that the joints are properly assembled. A badly inserted spigot is the main cause of rod breakage.
  7. CHOOSING THE RIGHT ROD FOR YOUR HEIGHT
It is often said that the longer the carp rod, the further you can cast. But it is mainly your size (and your centre of gravity) which determines how far you cast. For example, if you are less than 1.70m tall, you will find a 13 foot rod less comfortable than a 12 foot rod. It will shift your centre of gravity towards that upper part of you body. Which means it will take more effort to use and cast
  8. YOUR ROD BLANK
The term "blank" refers to the main part of a fishing rod, which is often made of carbon or fibreglass. For some of our rods we use the term HM carbon (High Modulus). Put simply, the modulus (expressed in tonnes) is the weight to stiffness ratio of the carbon. The higher the modulus, the lighter the blank and the more resistant it is to constraints such as the force exerted by a fish during the fight.
  9. MAINTENANCE
Everyday maintenance is simple: just clean your rods with warm soapy water, and then rinse and dry them carefully, paying special attention to the joints. This step is very important to make sure you remove any sand which can damage your rods.

Product testing
  1. Composition
Structure : 100.0% Carbon fibre (CF)
  2. Storage advice
Ensure that your rod is dry before storing. To extend the life of your rods, remember to remove the lead before you stow the rod in its cover
  3. Product restrictions
Do not use near power lines or during thunderstorms.
  4. Product catchline
The casting weight of the blank is good for casting the rig long distances and helps get the better of some good-sized fish. The fast action offers good feel transmission.
  5. Lab tested
The strength of the rod has been tested using rigs 50% heavier than the rated load. However, for optimal performance, it is essential to use rigs suited to the rod's casting weight.
