Product feature
  1. Waterproofing:
The exclusive Novadry component is guaranteed to keep you dry even in a downpour. In the rain simulator, the oilskin spent 4 hrs under the equivalent of a 100 l/hr/sqm shower without the tiniest drop getting through the product. The component's waterproofing is guaranteed to withstand more than 4,000 mm of water pressure. All seams are 100% sealed.
  2. Hood:
The hood has elastic drawcords with two self-blocking eyelets to adjust it to fit head size and protect against bad weather. The hood opening that is pre-shaped by the elasticated drawcord provides excellent visibility.
  3. Protection of documents and accessories:
Inside pocket with rip-tab strap for safe storage of papers and accessories.
  4. Hand-warmer pockets:
Two big hand warmer, zip pockets let you protect your hands from the wind and rain, and keep your accessories safe too.
  5. Wrist adjustment:
The cuffs have rip tabs so that you can adjust the tightening at the wrist.
  6. Jacket lining:
Made using two materials (nylon and mesh), the lining has been specially designed for optimum moisture wicking
  7. Jacket fastening:
The injection-moulded plastic front and pocket zips are oxidation-resistant thanks to the special shape of the teeth. There is also a zip flap with drainage for optimum waterproofing.
  8. What is a waterproofing test or "shower test"?
Approved test where the garment is placed under a shower simulating different weather conditions. All our products are certified fully waterproof having been tested for 4+ hours in rain of 100 l/hr/sqm to 450 l/hr/sqm depending on the product use. To put this into perspective, the highest recorded rain fall was in the USA in 1942, when 174 l/hr/sqm fell over 4.5 hours (NOAA). The average rainfall in Paris is 2 l/hr/sqm (www.Paris.fr)
Product testing
  1. Composition
    100% polyamide
  2. Storage advice
Store in a dry place, but do not leave NOVADRY® garments on a heat source such as a radiator, as this may damage the breathable membrane or coating.
  3. Cleaning advice
Machine wash your Men's Navistan Raincoastal Waterproof at 30°C. Turn inside-out and fasten rip-tabs. Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. Line dry if possible. Occasionally tumble drying on low with a short cycle will also improve the water repelle
  4. Product catchline
This authentic oilskin sailing jacket has been updated with a high-performance, waterproof, breathable and flexible component that protects from rain and wind for inshore sailing and everyday use.
  5. Lab tested
Novadry re-creates storm conditions in its weather simulator. Under these conditions, after 4 hours in a shower of 100 l/hr/sqm, our Raincoastal jacket still kept the user dry.
