I was looking for a reasonably priced torque wrench to use on my bike parts, and wanted something that was reliable, accurate, and did not need recalibration to maintain accurate readings, this fitted the bill.
I tested this one against an expensive, brand new, micrometer style torque wrench, and the readings matched, although the range on this one, (0 to 12 Nm), was less than the expensive one, but more than enough for my needs,
The permanently fixed bit holder, shown attached to the shaft, takes standard size driver bits, (5 of which are included in the handle), the standard size of the bit holder also enables it to be used with 1/4" sockets with a suitable hex to 1/4" adapter that is supplied with most screwdriver bit kits.
Using other bits, and sockets, that are not supplied with the torque wrench might slightly affect the accuracy of the reading, but it will be a lot more accurate than tightening anything without using a torque wrench.
As with any torque wrench, they are precision instruments, so just use them for the purpose they are intended, which is to set the torque of the fixings, as and when required. Torque wrenches are not designed to be used as a full time replacement for standard hexagon keys, ratchets, or spanners, so use them selectively, and carefully, and they will last you a long time.
Accurate, easy to read, no recalibration required.
Slightly awkward to use in tight situations.
