Product feature
  1. Product video guide:
Video with all the practical features and adjustments of the OZEAN 900 jacket.
  2. Video of the test mission with Tanguy de Lamotte
Members of the Tribord Club were able to test this jacket with Tanguy de Lamotte on his 60-foot IMOCA:
  3. Waterproofing:
Novadry's exclusive Beaufort 3L component is guaranteed to keep you dry even in the most extreme conditions. In the rain simulator, the jacket stayed for 24 hours under the equivalent of a 450 L/hr/sqm storm without the tiniest drop getting through the product. The component's waterproofing is guaranteed to over 28,000 mm of water pressure. All seams are fully taped.
  4. Hood and collar:
The high-visibility hood is adjustable 3 ways: visor height, field of vision, and head size. The semi-rigid visor is equipped with a flexible shape memory edging. The exclusive, intuitive collar adjustment with double rip-tabs is joined with an elasticated insert for added comfort.
  5. Waistband and hem:
The waist can be adjusted while the jacket is closed thanks to the easily accessible elastic drawcord toggle built into the cargo pockets. The bottom of the jacket can be adjusted with the elastic drawcord toggle built into the seam of the jacket. It is accessible when the jacket is closed.
  6. Insulation:
The inner non-return elasticated skirt with silicone grip connects to the rain bibs to prevent water from getting in and to keep in heat. The fleece-lined pockets and collar protect the most vulnerable parts from cold.
  7. Protects documents and multimedia accessories:
The waterproof zip storm pocket is accessible when the jacket is closed. It contains an inner opening and guides for a headphone cable.
  8. Storage:
The two large cargo pockets are equipped with a storm cord that allows you to secure your equipment in the front left pocket, and a large ring on a strap which can be positioned on the outside in order to attach your kill switch snap hook or a pair of gloves to dry them out.
  9. Hand warmer pockets:
Two wide chest pockets with silicone-coated zips complete with 300 g/sqm fleece pockets to keep your hands nice and warm; pockets are removable to speed up drying time.
  10. End seals:
The wrists are equipped with adjustable storm cuffs. The inner cuff, made of synthetic rubber combined with an ultra-lightweight waterproof material, can be adjusted with a rip-tab to ensure a durable and effective seal.
  11. Reinforcement:
The seat reinforcement is soft, thick, and ultra resistant to abrasion and wear.
  12. Jacket fastening:
The central Vislon zip fastening is resistant to corrosion from salt water; this two-way zip allows you to open your jacket from both the top and the bottom for optimal comfort when sitting down or for access to trouser pockets. The double storm flaps with channelling drainage act as barriers to any water getting in.
  13. Score to compare the environmental impact of products
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over its entire life cycle and with different indicators. An overall score (ABCDE) is attributed to help you easily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type with one another (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon chose to apply this voluntary environmental labelling scheme. For more information, visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

  3. Storage advice
Store in a dry place, but do not leave NOVADRY® garments on a heat source such as a radiator, as this may damage the breathable membrane or coating.
  4. Cleaning advice
Machine wash your Ozean 900 waterproof jacket at 30°C. Turn inside-out and fasten rip-tabs. Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. Line dry if possible. Occasional tumble drying on low for a short period of time will improve the water repellent treatm
  5. Product catchline
This waterproof, breathable OZEAN 900 sailing jacket will serve you well whenever you sail, including in high winds and torrential rains.
  6. Lab tested
Novadry re-creates storm conditions in its weather simulator. In these conditions, after 24 hours under a torrential shower of 450 L/hr/sqm, our sailing jacket still kept the user dry.

  • Leaking badly

    Filip (United Kingdom)
Used for More than 1 year
Leaking after 1 hour of walking on the rain. 1 year after purchase. All arms and back were wet. Shirt and t-shirt under. Didn't washed. Worn few times during few sea cruises. At the beggining I was cery satisfied :(
    Response of the brand
    Dear Filip,

Please visit your local store or use the online procedure for full refund. There will be new version of the Ozean 900 by the end of this year with redesign parts of the jacket and stronger quality of the fabric.

  • Can't fault it -Tribord Ozean 900 Grey jacket

    Laurence (United Kingdom)
Used for More than 2 years
My review seems to have disappeared.......apart from some odd thing? But in essence the review said the jacket is brilliant in all aspects...you could elsewhere pay double for a jacket this good.....I'm not going to write it all out again..............
    Quality way above its price.
  • Nearly Perfect

    Paul (United Kingdom)
Used for 7 to 12 months
I have this jacket and the matching salopettes and I really like them. They are a great fit and adjust to exclude drafts and water coming up between them. In terms of value for money they are unbeatable. My only problem is when I need to put on my life jacket (a Crewsaver Ergofit 290N). When you are wearing a life jacket you can't get your hands into the snuggly/handwarming pockets and access to the iPod pocket becomes very difficult, but not impossible. I guess the problem is that the positioning of straps varies from one life jacket to another. (If you look on the promo video some people look to have the same problem as me others don't.) The answer might be to tuck the handwarming pockets behind the big patch pockets because they will always be beneath the life jacket/harness straps.
Waterproof, Really good fit, Excellent Value
