What ventilation systems does the Van Connect Arpenaz Fresh awning have?
Two openings, each fitted with mosquito nets, face each other. They provide good ventilation to the living area whilst also protecting you from insects.
How wind resistant is the Van Connect Arpenaz Fresh awning?
We test all our living rooms in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the living room to the wind. A properly pitched living room with all guy ropes fitted should remain habitable in wind speeds up to 50 km/h near the ground.
How water resistant is the Van Connect Arpenaz Fresh awning?
We test our living rooms to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, equivalent to 200 mm tropical rain per hour. The second test is carried out by our teams in the field in real conditions. This living area is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams that have been waterproofed with heat-sealed strips, and a 140 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet.
