Mask dimensions and weight
Mask width: 16 cm.
Mask height: 10 cm.
Weight:185 g.
Internal volume
The volume of air trapped in the mask, between the face and the lens, represents the internal volume. For free-divers and spearfishing divers, the internal volume of the mask must be as small as possible to facilitate equalisation.
Equalisation
The adherence of the mask occurs when diving, as soon as pressure is exerted on the soft skirt of the mask, reducing the internal volume, thus keeping the mask on the face. To avoid this painful phenomenon for the eyes, it is important to equalise the internal pressure of the mask with the external pressure exerted by the water. To do so, just blow slightly through your nose. Air is so precious in these sports that the equalisation action must be minimal.
Silicone
Silicone is an extremely flexible material. A silicone skirt adapts to the contours of the face, making it more watertight. Hypoallergenic material.
Micrometric buckles
Micrometric buckles together with the notched strap on either side of the mask enable easy and very precise adjustment of the mask, even when wearing gloves.
Prevent fogging inside your goggles
New mask: Wash your mask with your fingers, using washing-up liquid and warm water, to remove the grease. Do not use a sponge.
Before each use, spit some saliva into your mask and rub the lens with your fingers, then rinse the mask.
Wet your face with water to reduce the temperature difference between the skin and the window of the mask - this will limit fogging.
Skirt
Compact skirt to fit narrow faces. The frameless mask is moulded onto the lens.
How to choose the right mask size
You should place the mask on your face without the strap and press the mask firmly to your face with both hands while holding your breath.
If the mask adheres properly and sticks to your face, then it is the right size and will be watertight
Conversely, if it becomes detached and falls off, then air is getting through and the water will get in; you should try another size or another mask.
