The Beal Rando 8 mm offers an excellent balance between strength and bulk: at approximately 37 g per meter, it easily fits into a bag without adding weight, ideal for outings where every gram counts.
The rope features a Golden Dry impregnation and a dry-treated sheath, reducing water absorption and improving product longevity in wet or snowy conditions.
With a sheath making up 40% of the construction, the rope shows good abrasion resistance and is suitable for specific demands of glacier hiking and steep passages. Shock and fall characteristics are adapted for its use as a hiking rope.
Available in 20 m, 30 m, and 48 m, each section has markings every 12 meters for easy pointing and knotting during group belaying.
Primarily intended for glacier hiking, high mountain walks, and snowy crossings, this rope should not be used for single climbing or technical mountaineering routes requiring certified safety ropes.
