When you navigate technical trails after sunset or set up your camp under the open sky, dependable illumination is essential. The Black Diamond Storm 550 Tundra headlamp offers exactly what you need with an impressive output of 550 lumens. This outdoor headlamp is engineered for demanding conditions and rough weather. You never have to worry about complicated controls in freezing temperatures; the robust housing features two oversized buttons that you can operate effortlessly, even while wearing thick gloves. Whether you are hiking, climbing, or camping, this reliable gear ensures you are never left in the dark.
What makes the Black Diamond Storm 550 Tundra exceptionally versatile is its advanced functionality. With a simple press of a button, you smoothly switch between different output levels and adjust brightness seamlessly. Additionally, this headlamp features high-quality RGB night vision. The red, green, and blue light options protect your night vision during close-up tasks, such as reading maps or securing equipment during a descent. The convenient Mode Memory function ensures the lamp always turns on at your last selected brightness level. Worried about the lamp turning on inside your backpack? The digital lockout feature prevents accidental activation so your battery remains fully charged for your expedition.
During long treks, dependable power and weather resistance are crucial. The integrated 1800 mAh lithium-ion battery recharges easily via the waterproof USB-C port. Unique to the Storm 550 Tundra is the pass-through charging technology, allowing the headlamp to stay powered on while connected to a power bank. Thanks to the IP67 certification, the enclosure is completely sealed against dust and survives water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Despite these heavy-duty specifications, the lamp sits comfortably on your head. The soft headband and compact internal housing weigh only 102 grams, preventing irritation during prolonged use.
