The Petzl GRIPTAPE is an adhesive tape roll specifically designed for ice axe handles. Its format allows installation on most mountaineering and ski touring ice axe handles, and it is identical to the tape used on the second handle of the Petzl Nomic, ensuring compatibility and a professional finish.
The tape offers better grip and contributes to thermal insulation between the hand and the handle, improving comfort during outings in cold conditions. It helps reduce slipping and optimizes control of the ice axe during technical maneuvers.
The GRIPTAPE is self-adhesive and easily unwinds for a clean wrap around the handle. It is designed to renew worn grip or to add a new grip (for example, at the top of the handle) according to user preferences.
Designed to equip an ice axe, the roll weighs approximately 24 g, providing a lightweight solution that does not add bulk to the equipment while offering a notable improvement in grip.
