The Leki WCR Pro Lite SL TR is the slalom pole for young racers and ambitious slalom skiers looking for a lightweight, stable pole with a trigger system. A 16 mm aluminum shaft, airfoil profile, and the Trigger 3D Slalom grip bring the technology of World Cup poles to the youth category.
Leki WCR Pro Lite SL TR: Airfoil shaft with Trigger 3D Slalom grip
The shaft, made of high-strength HTS 6.5 aluminum, has a 16 mm diameter and an aerodynamic airfoil profile. The Trigger 3D SL grip connects the glove directly to the pole: With a Trigger glove or the Trigger Strap loop, you can click in and out without pulling the strap over your hand. The Racing basket and the steel tip inside the shaft are designed for tough slalom courses.
Features in Detail
The WCR Pro Lite SL TR is designed for slalom training and racing. When choosing the length of slalom poles, make sure that when the pole is turned upside down, your forearm is horizontal under the basket. Available in 115, 120, and 125 cm.
Care
Check the tips and baskets regularly for wear; replacement parts are available from Leki. Let them dry after a day of skiing to keep the trigger mechanism running smoothly.
Do I need a special glove for the Trigger 3D grip? With a Leki Trigger glove, you click right into the grip. Without a Trigger glove, use the included Trigger Strap loop, which snaps into place just as easily.
What’s the right pole length? Turn the pole upside down and grasp it beneath the basket: Your forearm should be horizontal. For slalom, many skiers use a pole that’s 5 cm shorter than for giant slalom.
Is this a children’s pole? The WCR Pro Lite SL TR has a standard grip and is designed for teens and adults with pole lengths of approximately 115 cm or longer. For shorter users, the WCR Evo Lite SL TR is available starting at 90 cm.
How does it differ from the WCR Pro SL TR? The Pro Lite is the lighter aluminum version with a standard grip for young athletes; the WCR Pro SL TR is the adult racing pole.
Can I change the basket? Yes, the baskets are interchangeable and can be swapped out for other Leki Racing or trekking baskets.
